Clear View Systems Ltd. began with a clear purpose: to make world-class financial software accessible to Money Service Businesses of every size. When the company was founded in 2003 in North Vancouver, Canada, the financial software market was heavily skewed toward large institutions. Smaller players like currency exchanges, remittance operators, and independent financial firms were left to deal with fragmented systems, manual reporting, and complicated compliance requirements. Tiran Behrouz, an experienced software developer with a strong grasp of the industry’s challenges, saw an opening to change that. His goal wasn’t just to build another accounting or transaction management system. He wanted to give MSBs the same level of technological sophistication and compliance capability that big banks enjoyed, but at a price and flexibility that smaller businesses could actually manage. That vision became the foundation of Clear View Systems Ltd., a company built on the belief that technology should make financial operations simpler, faster, and more transparent.

From the start, Clear View Systems focused on empowering MSBs, financial institutions, and foreign exchange operators to run smarter and more securely. Its flagship products, CurrencyXchanger and CXR Cloud, combine every essential element of modern money service operations: customer management, transaction monitoring, anti-money laundering compliance, accounting, and integration with external APIs and payment providers. Whether a client needs to handle multi-currency transactions, automate compliance reports, or manage customer data across branches, the company’s solutions make it practical and efficient. What really sets Clear View Systems apart is its commitment to real-world functionality. Every feature is developed with direct input from clients who operate in fast-moving, highly regulated environments. From early versions to the latest updates, the team has stayed close to its users, listening to their needs and building tools that fit the way they actually work. That customer-driven approach has become a defining part of the company’s identity and one of the reasons its products are trusted by organizations around the world.

Over the years, Clear View Systems has grown into a respected global name in financial technology. Its software is used by leading clients such as the Bank of Jamaica, Desjardins Bank, Lotus, and Globex 2000, along with hundreds of independent operators across multiple regions. Every client benefits from the same focus on precision, security, and dependable service. The company’s longevity and client loyalty speak to the strength of its technology and the integrity of its leadership. Flexibility is another reason for its continued success. Recognizing that each business operates differently, Clear View Systems offers both on-premise and cloud-based solutions. Clients can choose what works best for their operations, whether that means maintaining full control of their infrastructure or using the scalability and convenience of the cloud. The company also provides customization, implementation support, and ongoing technical assistance, ensuring every deployment is tailored to the client’s workflow.

After more than two decades, Clear View Systems remains driven by the same mission that sparked its founding: to bridge the gap between complex financial regulations and practical business operations. The team continues to innovate, refine, and expand its technology to meet the evolving needs of the global financial services industry. For Behrouz and his team, success is measured not just by software performance but by the confidence it gives their clients. Clear View Systems helps financial businesses stay compliant, competitive, and ready for growth in a marketplace that never stops changing.

In conversation with Tiran Behrouz, Founder and President of Clear View Systems

Serving diverse sectors from MSBs to casinos, how does the CXR platform adapts to meet such varied operational and compliance needs?

The versatility of the CXR platform lies in its modular architecture and highly configurable compliance engine. Each business type—whether it’s a retail currency exchange, a casino, or a money transfer organization—has different workflows and regulatory requirements.

CXR enables administrators to define parameters such as transaction limits, customer KYC requirements, and reporting thresholds according to their jurisdiction and business model. Our compliance engine integrates AI to help monitor and flag unusual activity, automatically generating reports in formats accepted by financial regulators across multiple regions.

This flexibility allows clients to stay compliant with local and international AML standards without needing separate systems.

With banks often closing MSB accounts, how does your integrated AML compliance provide clients the confidence to maintain their banking relationships?

Banking relationships are crucial for MSBs, and one of the main reasons accounts are closed is insufficient AML transparency. Our software directly addresses this by offering an auditor-friendly, transparent record-keeping system.

CXR automatically logs all customer interactions, risk ratings, and transactions with traceable audit trails. The AML engine produces structured compliance reports—such as CTRs, STRs, and risk assessments—that demonstrate regulatory adherence.

By using CXR, our clients can easily show their banking partners that they operate under rigorous compliance standards, which significantly strengthens trust and reduces the risk of account termination.

You offer both on-premise and cloud deployment. What is the strategic value in this flexibility, and how do you guide a client to the right choice?

Every client has unique needs depending on their geography, internet reliability, and regulatory environment. Our on-premise version (CXR Pro) is ideal for businesses that want full control of their data, often preferred by institutions that must host systems internally for compliance reasons.

Our CXR Cloud platform offers the scalability, accessibility, and automation benefits of modern SaaS. It’s hosted on Microsoft Azure, providing enterprise-grade security, automated backups, and high availability.

We guide clients through an assessment of their operational risks, technical capacity, and compliance obligations to recommend the right deployment. In many cases, hybrid solutions combine the best of both worlds.

Can you explain how your eWire remittance technology creates a competitive advantage for money transfer organizations?

eWire is our proprietary module designed for managing international remittances and cross-border transactions. It allows organizations to track every step of the remittance process—from initiation to payout—ensuring transparency and full compliance.

The advantage comes from its flexibility: eWire can integrate with third-party payment networks and banking APIs, letting businesses maintain control over their existing financial relationships while still benefiting from centralized record-keeping.

This empowers our clients to offer faster, safer, and more transparent international transfers, giving them a significant competitive edge.

With the inclusion of cryptocurrency record-keeping, how is Clear View Systems navigating the evolving regulatory landscape for digital assets?

The rise of digital assets and cryptocurrencies has brought new regulatory challenges. At Clear View Systems, we’ve proactively adapted our software to support cryptocurrency record-keeping in a compliant way.

Rather than facilitating crypto transactions directly, CXR enables MSBs and exchanges to maintain proper records for digital asset operations, ensuring traceability, AML compliance, and transaction transparency.

We closely monitor global regulatory changes to ensure our systems stay compliant with evolving crypto-related laws. Our aim is to help clients participate in the digital asset economy safely and responsibly.

Your software integrates with many third-party APIs. How does this “best-of-breed” strategy create a more powerful ecosystem for your clients?

Integration is central to our philosophy. By connecting with third-party APIs—such as banks, KYC/AML services, payment processors, and exchange rate providers—we allow clients to build a seamless and powerful operational ecosystem.

This approach lets businesses choose the “best-of-breed” partners for their needs while maintaining unified control through CXR. It minimizes data entry, automates compliance checks, and improves overall accuracy and speed.

We believe innovation happens when specialized systems communicate effectively—CXR acts as that central nervous system.

How do your investments in enterprise-grade security and certifications like ISO 27001 translate into tangible peace of mind for your clients?

Security is at the heart of every decision we make. Our CXR Cloud platform leverages Azure’s ISO 27001-certified infrastructure, ensuring compliance with international standards for information security.

We use end-to-end encryption, multi-factor authentication (MFA), role-based access controls, and automated backups to protect customer data.

Our clients gain peace of mind knowing that their systems are built on a foundation trusted by major financial institutions. For on-premise deployments, clients retain full control of their databases within their private network, ensuring maximum data sovereignty.

Having operated since 2003, what core principle has been key to your longevity in this dynamic market?

Our guiding principle has always been listening to our customers. We build based on real-world needs, not trends. Many of our best features were inspired by client feedback or compliance auditor suggestions.

Another key principle is transparency—both in how we build software and how we maintain relationships. We believe trust is earned through reliability, responsiveness, and honesty.

Finally, our success comes from our team culture. We are a small, highly skilled group that values collaboration, loyalty, and shared purpose over hierarchy. Many of our team members have been with us for over a decade, and that continuity drives our strength.

What does the future hold for your company and its customers? Are exciting things on the way?

Absolutely. Our focus is on leveraging AI and data analytics to give MSBs predictive insights and smarter compliance automation.

We’re also exploring blockchain integration for secure and transparent settlement processes, as well as expanding our cloud capabilities to reach more international markets.

In the near future, Clear View Systems aims to become the go-to platform not only for currency exchange but for multi-asset compliance management, supporting the next generation of fintech innovation.
