“We focus on solving the problem at hand, building lasting client relationships with our clients, and ensuring their complete satisfaction”.

Millennium Enterprise Corporation, or MEC, is a SWaM-certified, minority-owned small disadvantaged business (SDB). For much of its history, MEC has been providing a wide range of reliable cost-effective and innovative IT services and products to meet current and evolving technology support demands for government organizations, universities, schools, and other businesses. The company specializes in web technology services, mobile application development, web design, and cloud computing.

MEC was founded in 1998 and is based in Fairfax, VA.

The Silicon Review reached out to Minh Nguyen, CEO of Millennium Enterprise Corporation, and here’s what he had to say.

Interview Highlights

Q. When it comes to longevity, Millennium Enterprise Corporation has it. I find it remarkable that an organization can continue to provide services for over two decades. How did Millennium Enterprise maintain its adaptability over the years?

MEC’s success can be attributed to a combination of factors, including our ability to innovate and adapt to changing markets and technologies and our commitment to high customer satisfaction.

Over the years, MEC has embraced new technologies and platforms, from onsite infrastructure support in the early 2000s to cloud-based in 2019. By staying ahead of the curve and continually evolving our offerings, MEC has remained relevant and maintained our position as a go-to place in the IT consulting industry.

Another critical factor in MEC’s success is our commitment to high customer satisfaction. We focus on solving the problem at hand, building lasting client relationships with our clients, and ensuring their complete satisfaction.

Q. Can you introduce us to your services? What are their key features?

One of MEC’s services is our cybersecurity technology audit, which includes the following components.

Risk Assessment – MEC will evaluate the organization's existing security controls and processes and identify any gaps or areas for improvement.

Vulnerability Scanning and Pen Testing – These are techniques used by MEC to identify potential weaknesses in an organization's network, systems, and applications.

Compliance Review – MEC will review the organization's compliance with applicable laws and regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

Policy and Procedure Review – MEC will review the organization's cybersecurity policies and procedures to ensure they are comprehensive, up-to-date, and aligned with NIST and CIS best practices.

Physical Security Review – This involves assessing the organization's physical security controls, such as access controls, surveillance systems, and environmental controls, to ensure they adequately protect its assets.

Employee Training and Awareness Review – MEC will review the organization's training and awareness programs to ensure that employees are adequately trained to identify and respond to cybersecurity incidents.

The results of a cybersecurity technology audit will typically be documented in a report that outlines the findings, recommendations, and action plan to address any identified weaknesses or vulnerabilities.

Q. In what industries are your clients? Can you provide us with one or two success stories describing the challenges your clients faced and how Millennium Enterprise helped them overcome those challenges?

Most of MEC’s clients are Federal agencies and primary public schools. Public schools often have limited financial resources to hire qualified cybersecurity professionals to help protect their systems and data. By leveraging the MEC cybersecurity subscription-based model, public schools can get the right technical expertise and stay within budget.

Q. Tell us about the Millennium Enterprise team. What value do they bring to the company?

The heart of MEC is our team members. Our team members bring more than just their technical expertise and knowledge. They are creative, innovative, and engaging and provide a “magical” client experience.

Their commitment to customer service helps build MEC brand loyalty and generates repeat business.

Q. What new endeavors is Millennium Enterprise currently undertaking?

Without going into too much confidential information, MEC is excited to be working with Government agencies and school districts to develop a machine learning application focusing on predictive analytics.

Q. What's the one thing you want Millennium Enterprise to be known for?

MEC wants to be known as a company you can trust to bring your most significant problem, and together, we will find a solution. We run towards the fire and put them out.

Tell us, what’s next for Millennium Enterprise Corporation.

With the next evolution of the internet Web 3.0 that incorporates new technologies like blockchain, MEC is excited to see how we can help our clients have more control over their data.

Q. Is there anything you would like to add before we wrap up?

Yes. I want to thank all our clients who have allowed us to work alongside them and all our employees who have made what MEC is today. Thank you, and God Bless America.
