Q. What are the factors that make your firm stand out from the competition?

What continues to excite and engage me after practicing family law for more than 30 years, is that the concept of the family continues to evolve. Children are our most precious resources. They are quite literally our future. There is enormous potential for children to become harmed in the context of their parents’ divorce. At the Schoenberg Family Law Group, we are deeply committed to ensuring that children remain insolated from their parents’ litigation. Not withstanding the raw emotion that accompanies virtually every dissolution action, we work hard to educate our clients and to assist them in working cooperatively with the other party. We believe it’s critical that parents work together so that the needs of their children are paramount. Not only are we attorneys but many of us are also parents. We have a deep understanding of the best interests of children and strive to meet that in every custody and visitation schedule that we coordinate. At the end of the day, our priority is to ensure that the parenting plan is in the best interests of the children, to promote their continuing development and growth.

Debra R. Schoenberg, Esq., has a long and distinguished career. She is the Founder of Schoenberg Family Law Group, P.C., located in San Francisco, California. For more than 30 years, Debra has focused her practice exclusively in the area of family law, handling a variety of matters on behalf of clients in San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area. These include contested custody disputes and the division of property in complex divorce cases. Ms. Schoenberg also assists clients with cases involving domestic partnership dissolutions, legal separations, alimony claims, custody and visitation arrangements, child support, restraining orders, paternity disputes, Marvin claims, pre- and -post marital agreements, cohabitation agreements and domestic torts. While making every effort to negotiate settlements whenever possible, she will vigorously pursue her clients’ interests in Court when necessary or advisable. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the Western College Program at Miami University in 1980, Ms. Schoenberg earned her law degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1985.
