The Founding Duo:

Cam Brookes, Co-Founder, and Managing Director:

With experience spanning more than two decades in the IT industry, Cameron is a co-founder and the Managing Director of Kiandra IT. He has been responsible for the overarching strategic direction of the organization and managing the execution of those strategies since co-founding the company.

Cameron studied Computer Science and Communication Engineering at La Trobe University, is an active member of the CEO Institute (having earned the Certified CEO designation), the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders. Cameron is also a member of the Telstra Business Awards judging panel, has been named Best Business Leader in the My Business Awards and is a proud alumnus of the RBA Small Business Finance Advisory Panel.

He has an extensive technical background acquired through solution architecture and implementation roles where he established, transitioned and oversaw national managed service and outsourced delivery operations. To this day he continues to retain a high-level technical knowledge of software, cloud and infrastructure solutions. 

Under Cameron‘s direction, Kiandra‘s positive contribution to the business world has also been recognised in the Telstra Business Awards (Best Medium Business winner), the ARN Awards (Best SMB Reseller), the Asia Pacific Business Excellence Awards (Best Overall Business) and on the CRN Fast 50 and Deloitte Technology Fast 50 lists. Cameron is a regular on the speaker circuit presenting on both organizational culture and business related issues.

Martin Cooperwaite, Co-Founder, and Director, Strategic Accounts:

Martin‘s IT story started over 30 years ago when he wrote adventure computer games for his 2nd-grade primary school friends. He's come a long way since, co-founding the award-winning Melbourne-based software development and IT company 20 years ago. Martin‘s drive and passion for custom software have been instrumental in developing Kiandra‘s reputation as one of Australia‘s top custom software development houses.

Kiandra has received a significant number of awards, including Medium-sized Business of the Year at the 2012 Telstra Business Awards, Best SMB Reseller at the ARN Awards, Best Overall Business at the Asia Pacific Business Excellence Awards, and awarded a BRW Best Place to Work seven years running.

Inherent in Martin‘s nature is to help people and solve complex problems. He loves nothing more than the challenge of problem-solving where many factors are involved, and this is where his love of software development stems. Martin has a Bachelor of Computer Science degree and attained numerous industry certifications along his journey.
