Mr Beerud is responsible for the overall strategy, execution and growth of Webaroo. Prior to Webaroo, he founded Elance, the world’s largest online services marketplace. He has played various leadership roles at different stages of the company’s growth, including product & business strategy, product management, marketing & business development, and remains on the board of directors. Prior to founding Elance, he also worked in the financial services industry – modeling, structuring, and trading fixed income securities and derivatives at Merrill Lynch and before that at Citicorp Securities. Holding a BSc in computer science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay, where he was awarded the Institute Silver Medal, Mr Beerud is a frequent speaker at industry events and is a holder of 2 technology patents.

Mr Ravi Sundararajan: COO

At Webaroo, Mr Ravi heads Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Business Operations and Support as well as Product Operations for its Cloud Messaging business – GupShup. Prior to Webaroo, Mr Ravi was Founder and CEO of a cloud analytics startup, and also held various senior executive roles at Symantec including leading solutions development, product management, sales and marketing for Symantec’s cloud data management and information security solutions. Before that he was General Manager of Enterprise Content Delivery and Cloud Services business at Akamai, Vice President at Palm/Handspring (now HP) and Engagement Manager at McKinsey. He has been awarded US patents for innovative cloud data management inventions and is a frequent speaker at digital industry summits. He started his career at Sun Microsystems where he was a key member of design team that built Sun’s first 64-bit server system Ultra-1 for the Internet data center and cloud computing market and holds a MBA from Harvard Business School and a MS in Electrical Engineering from State University of New York at Stony Brook.
