The Silicon Review
“Our focus is to provide integrated automation systems in buildings and infrastructure projects, Pacific Controls pioneered the concept of converged solutions.”
Pacific Controls, established in 2001, is at the cutting edge with regards to data infrastructure, service delivery innovation for industry and civic managed solutions where we can spot the confluence in networked computing, large scale data management with the assimilation of both tangible and virtual worlds. The syndicate partners with key product OEMs, service providers, carriers to have absolute grip on smart connected devices, people, Internet of Things, machines.
A succinct about the outset of the company
Pacific Controls provides intelligence at both the hardware and software levels. Unlike other players and solutions in the market that are isolated and narrowly focused, the company’s capabilities encircle the comprehensive and transformative nature of machine-to-machine, the IoT, and smart systems. Pacific Controls empowers connection and control across digital and physical barriers and harnesses the profound potential of the IoT through end-to-end services and advanced platforms.
The company has pioneered the concept of Gbots, the artificial intelligence framework developed for virtualization of managed services and delivery of real-time business intelligence. The firm deploys these intelligent, autonomous, experienced, and cognitive software agents across networks, utilizing them for diverse tasks across the world. Pacific Controls, a competent IoT solution provider has received several prestigious awards and accolades in recent past, honoring its market innovation.
Prevailing market status
Internet of Things and machine communications commingle to create new means of asset awareness, intelligence and support services. On a whole, the Internet of Things is a concept in which inputs from machines, sensors, people, video streams, maps and more are digitized and placed onto networks.
When large-scale data management and networked computing is focalized then, it gets synthesized both physical and virtual world.
Sui generis factors of Pacific Controls
The present scenario is such that, profits across the globe is procured via cloud services, Internet of Things solutions and information security. The company is one-off because, it builds innovative solution portfolio with canny investments made that will catch eye across public services, commercial services, and vertical industry applications.
As enterprises, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), governments and other entities seek to capitalize and monetize the vast amounts of data generated by IoT systems, companies are rapidly expanding their value scope through partnerships and M&A to gain share in the high growth, high margin cloud services, Internet of Things and information security solutions arenas.
Pacific Controls current posit
The firm qualifies an extensive range of public and private managed services say; energy management, real estate, security, healthcare, hospitality, education, retail, transportation and financial applications. More potent services and minimal operational costs are only workable when there is delivery of critical real time data from discrete urban assets to decision makers and citizens. When these trends such as: Internet of Things and people are merged it will create unimagined new values.
Exalted clients of the institution
The company has gigantic clients as such: Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), Cummins, Carrier (acquired by UTC), and Microsoft.
This world is digitized, wherein all electronic and electro- mechanical products will enlighten us with worthy information. Considering today, the number of connected devices on the planet has outmatched 8 billion people. The ability to detect patterns from these devices is the holy grail of smart systems. Machine data analytics, often thought of as part of the evolving “big data” story and allows not only data patterns but a much higher order of intelligence to emerge from large collections of ordinary machine and device data.
Capsulization of the products and services
The firm’s products will integrate physical and virtual worlds via sophisticated networked computing and large scale data management with the advanced machine intelligence.
Well, they have established ‘Galaxy 2021’. The syndicate is a state-of-the-art platform which runs on Microsoft Azure cloud framework. Ecosystem products such as: Energy, real estate, homeland security, healthcare, hospitality, transportation, education, financial, industrial and retail are pioneered by the company. Galaxy integrates with management information systems to deliver optimization and governance-centric data that will enable cost reduction of operating a city and its services through increased operational efficiencies and peculation of real-time data to the relevant decision makers in the city.
A pithy description on multi-service IOT gateway
Pacific Controls has introduced a multi-service IOT gateway which is a wireless device, multi-technology that permits communication with on-board systems and deliver machine data/ information. The firm is recognized for bringing out RF technologies like: Cellular, Wi-Fi, BT, and GPS that avails augmented communication services at lowest cost.

Pacific Controls Projects
Dubai International Airport - Airport Automation Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Dubai International Airport is one of the busiest and fastest growing airports in the Middle East. The second phase of expansion of the airport by the Dubai Department of Civil Aviation is currently underway. Pacific Controls approach and proven track record in handling mission-critical applications has enabled to integrate the systems that are core to the airport including security, HVAC, fire alarm, lighting. Public address, common use terminal equipment, resource management, baggage sorting, parking, gate allocation, to name a few. This approach results in lower initial costs, and operational efficiencies that maximize the benefits of capital improvement projects for the airport.
Ranked as the fourth busiest airport in the world in terms of international passengers according to Airport Council International’s latest figures (ACI), Dubai International Airport caters to around 60 million passengers per annum- increasing to 75mppa at the A-380 dedicated Concourse-3 opens. The Building Integration System from Pacific Controls functions as an Airport System integrator to enable different ELV Systems to exchange data with each other in the format and protocol supported by each of these systems. One example is the flight data updates forwarded from the Management Information System to Lighting Control System, Access Control System, and Building Management System etc. through BIS to enable operating their devices based on these schedules. BIS aims to bring the different Airport systems to one common integrated platform where data can be monitored and analyzed for better operational efficiencies. After the completion of the Building Integration System project at Terminal-3, Concourse-2; Pacific Controls is currently implementing the BIS at Concourse-3.
Dubai World Central - Building Management System Dubai, United Arab Emirates
At the heart of Dubai World Central is Al Maktoum International Airport – which will be the world’s largest passenger and cargo hub with a design capacity of over 12 million tons of cargo a year and in excess of 120 million passengers annually and capable of handling all new generation aircraft, including the A380 super jumbo. Pacific Controls is responsible for preparing the design and provide the solution for the Building Management System (Management Level).
The system proposed to fulfill the requirements of Building Management System (Management Level) is comprised of software and hardware components to ensure the transfer of data between various buildings are located in DWCIA.
The system has the capability to receive and transmit the data using multiple protocols as required to communicate with the various BMS (Building Management System), ELV-subsystems through the DWCIA network.
Pacific Controls was awarded the Middle East’s most prestigious “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award 2013, On November 13, 2013, by H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, for their exceptional performance in fostering growth and innovation and a culture of corporate social responsibility and excellence in the country.”
This award was organized under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the 7th cycle of the high profile award, initiated and organized by Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry under its strategy of celebrating business excellence.
