Industries Riveron serves:

Aerospace, Defense, & Government Contractors

Companies in the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Contractors industries are challenged by a variety of economic and regulatory requirements.

The commercial aerospace industry has been in a nearly continuous upcycle since 2004, as global passenger demand has steadily grown; now, they must contend with the largest downturn in commercial aerospace history as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. The pandemic and its economic ripple effects have wide-reaching implications across the entire industry, impacting airlines, manufacturers, maintenance organizations, and more. Riveron’s blend of industry expertise as well as their proven track record in restructuring, business optimization, and financial advisory services makes them uniquely positioned to assist clients as they encounter the change and challenges felt throughout the industry today.

Government and defense contractors must not only comply with standard reporting and regulatory requirements but face an additional burden to comply with an ever-changing regulatory environment, including strict government audits and complex cost accounting standards. Additionally, defense companies must navigate a dynamic global landscape with disrupted supply chains, fluctuating demand, and global competition. They help companies to navigate challenging consolidations, complex accounting matters, strategic cost-saving initiatives, and to stay ahead of the curve with supply chain optimization and financial planning and analysis services.

Engineering & Construction

For many within the engineering and construction industry, the wait for government stimulus, new legislation, tax credits, or loosened project budgets can result in risk and uncertainty. These challenges are more acutely felt in periods of economic distress, when large-scale projects are placed on the backburner or incur greater costs than initially planned. In this climate, industry operators may contend with consolidation, as they look to maximize value and grow the bottom line.

Riveron has extensive experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, lenders, sureties, government agencies, trade unions, and project owners across all major specialties, including power and industrials, transportation and infrastructure, energy, government, and more. Their seasoned team is here to assist with developing and executing a proactive strategy for both healthy and distressed contractors and their constituents. They also specialize in helping contractors raise capital to expand, look for a buyer, or acquire assets.

Government, Municipal, & Education

Government and university leaders face unprecedented challenges in the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Unanticipated expenses, diminished revenue sources, increased demand for enhanced public safety and public health services have forced leaders to rethink service delivery, organizational structures, information systems, and financial management. The need for transformation coupled with public demand for transparency adds to the pressure to move carefully and with purpose.

Riveron works with governments, universities, and not-for-profit agencies to drive efficiency, yielding improved quality services while saving precious budget dollars. Their professionals bring financial and planning expertise and offer unique experience, having advised and served in governments. Their service offerings range from performance improvement to crisis management, providing innovative approaches to public safety risk management, pension reform, and general operations. They have a proven track record over the past ten years effecting lasting, transformative change in most of the largest municipal fiscal crises, and their analysis is fact-driven, economically based, and nonpartisan.

Real estate

The commercial real estate industry is facing significant headwinds as a result of increased vacancies, negative absorption, declining rental rates, excess supply, and high leverage in both the commercial loan and commercial mortgage-backed securities markets. In retail, the rise of e-commerce is dampening demand for brick-and-mortar stores and growing takeout and delivery trends are changing spatial requirements for many retailers, restaurateurs, and other businesses. As remote work continues to go mainstream, both urban and suburban office markets are struggling to compete. Industry players must adapt to these rapidly shifting dynamics or risk getting left behind.

With Riveron’s successful track record of maximizing real estate value both inside and outside of legal proceedings, their industry professionals have a wealth of experience repositioning distressed real estate and serving as court-appointed receivers. They also excel at helping healthy companies take advantage of market opportunities through optimizing performance improvement and transaction strategies. Riveron assists clients by maximizing value and selling, acquiring, or repositioning assets for both short- and long-term growth.
