Industrial Hydrogen Generators by Electrolysis

Energy Storage & Hydrogen Fueling

Renewable sources of generation such as wind power provide a viable pathway to reducing Hydrogenics’s carbon footprint while increasing its energy supply security. Since these resources are intermittent, other resources are needed to balance the electricity supply and load demand throughout the day. Hydrogenics has energy storage and hydrogen fueling solutions to manage this challenge for a large scale transmission grid down to a remote community micro-grid.

Power-to-Gas is a hybrid solution which converts surplus renewable generation into hydrogen using electrolysis and then injects the hydrogen into the existing natural gas infrastructure. Hydrogenics brings decades of experience in designing and installing on-site electrolyzers in indoor and containerized outdoor configurations to Power-to-Gas applications.

Knowing the Chief

Daryl Wilson, Chief Executive Officer: Daryl was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in December 2006, bringing a varied 25-year background in technology and industrial management to the company, including operations, manufacturing, human resources, research, product development, organizational change and turn-around experience. Prior to joining Hydrogenics, he held senior leadership positions at Royal Group Technologies, Zenon Environmental, Toyota and Dofasco.

Daryl began his career with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto. In 1990, Daryl also earned an MBA from McMaster University in Operations Management/Management Science.
