Why was the company set up? How did you select the vertical and decide to be a part of the global platform?

SoMe Connect was founded on a basic need I saw in the market place: Companies were building websites but had no idea where to go from there. In my past life, I owned a successful local chain of toy stores, so I understand the need to rise above the competition and play upon your own strengths to differentiate yourself as a company. That’s really what search engine optimization and establishing a strong digital presence is: leveraging your strengths and capitalizing upon them.

What were the grounds on which you have expanded your company and its offerings over the years?

We have had the opportunity to work with great companies and partners throughout these six years, and we have benefitted from the word-of-mouth experience that these trusted clients provide. Our company has grown organically and expanded nationally thanks to these valued partnerships.

We have also had the great opportunity to hire a talented, diverse group of people who each bring a deep, varied skill set to our company. We have been able to deepen our offerings based on their experience.

If you have list of factors that have been/are the biggest asset to your organization, what would they be and why?

'It is difficult to start a venture. But far more difficult to maintain it' - How would you and your team interpret this saying?

I compare this statement to early-stage companies that start off strong and then don’t live up to expectation because they didn’t stay agile and relevant in an ever-changing world. Look at Facebook: When they saw that the company wasn’t the darling of the social media world any longer, they acknowledged that fact and in turn acquired Instagram. You need to stay flexible and aware and not get stuck in a static idea of “who you are.”

What learnings helped you to set this company up?

As mentioned, I come from a family with an array of business backgrounds and have a varied skill set myself, so I can relate to a wide range of clients. I feel that being honest and upfront and approaching each client relationship as a long-term partnership is the key to being successful in this business – and any business. 

What drives/inspires you to excel in your field of business?

I truly love and believe in what I do. I know by helping other businesses realize their brand identity and worth on a digital scale, I am helping them succeed overall.

How do you and your company contribute to the global IT platform and society at large?

SoMe Connect is helping shape the digital image of several leading companies, therefore contributing to the global digital landscape. Our work is influencing how companies think not only of their digital footprint, but also their overall brand image. As companies put more and more dollars towards digital, entire business models shift and evolve.

Where do you see you and your company a couple of years from now?

We continue to look forward to growing our business and expanding into different areas and industries. We truly feel that the future is limitless: As more and more companies large and small understand the value of a strong, cohesive digital presence and more and more startups enter the field, we are here to offer our expert services to help them succeed.
