Q. Why was the company set up?

Foreseeing the tremendous potential of the IT industry, OneAsia was established to keep up with current IT industry trends across APAC and offers holistic solutions to corporate clients all over the world. The company is addressing the rising demand and offering all rounded data center services, connectivity and advanced IT solutions including end-to-end cloud computing, IT outsource, big data, and IoT solutions to businesses of all sizes.

Q. What challenges did you face in your initial years?

We faced many challenges including building up the customer’s trust via the company reputation and the past job experience. Moreover, data center industry relies on strong capital investment. Thus, strong financial cash flow was also a challenge, although we made it.

Q. Are there any factors that have played key roles in shaping your organization’s road map?

Yes, there are factors that have played vital roles in building our organisation such as global market trend, 5G new technology, IoT, and AI. We believe new age of the world is to be driven by such technology. Since 2017, we have foreseen marketers trying to focus on Asia markets including developing countries; such as Cambodia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Q. How does your company contribute to the global IT platform?

Our robust and reliable data center/IT infrastructure provides peace of mind to our customers; hence they concentrate on their core business well. Without this platform, no stable service can be provided.

Q. Where do you see your company a couple of years from now?

We have been focusing on Greater China for the last three years. Now, we plan to expand across South East Asia regions including Singapore, Thailand, The Philippines, Cambodia, and Malaysia in the next 3 years. Hence, we seek to develop a ‘ONEASIA’ Data Center IT platform and network.

Charles Lee: An Entrepreneur at Heart

Charles Lee, Founder, is the Chief Executive Officer of OneAsia Network Limited. Mr. Lee has been dedicated to contributing to the development and provision of IT/data center services and also infrastructure solutions for critical environments – by setting up Legan Group, the parent company of OneAsia. He has over 30 years of solid experience in this sector.

Mr. Lee was awarded “The Excellence in Achievement of World Chinese Youth Entrepreneurs” at the 9th World Summit of Chinese Entrepreneurs in 2012, “Professional Fellowship” from the British Computer Society in 2015, “The 1st Excellence in Achievement of World Youth Leadership” in 2016, “Business Leader of the Year” of the Asia Pacific DCD Awards in 2016, “Cloud Leadership Award” of DataCloud Asia in 2017, and was nominated as one of “The World’s Most Influential Data Economy Leaders in Power 200” by Data Economy in 2019.
