image

“First Line operates multiple software development centers in Eastern Europe and employs 400+ staff globally. It has completed over 400 projects in 15 countries in 14 different industries.”

Incorporated in 2009, First Line Software is an international premier provider of custom software development, technology enablement services and value-add consulting in big data engineering, digitalization, intellectual integration, Industrial Internet and IoT, digital media and marketing,
enterprise content management, and healthcare IT.

The company started off using Agile methodologies and then as it accumulated significant tech stack knowledge and specific industry expertise, evolved to include the Intellectual Integration approach. Intellectual Integration addresses the primary challenges of business digitalization through critical thinking, insight, and horizontal engineering expertise across multiple verticals and technologies. Together, Agile and Intellectual Integration provide clients with an efficient way to analyze their current capabilities, identify the best way forward, and then execute – whether it’s a complete digital transformation or innovating with a new product or service.

First Line has been recognized with multiple annual rankings and awards by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), Global, Corporate LiveWire, Insights Success and CNews. The company was the first to be awarded with the Scrum Capability Medallion by Scrum, Inc. Most recently, research firm Gartner included First Line in their first ever Market Guide for Technology Integrators (2014) and the Cool Vendor in Applications Services 2015 Report. It is also an EPiServer Service Implementation Partner with one hundred engineers representing 350 person years of experience in implementing Episerver solutions worldwide.

In 2016, First Line Software acquired Massachusetts-based Healthcare Solutions Provider – Solaris Development to support its strategy of growth through acquisition – specifically consulting companies in selected high-growth markets.

Case Study

Client
Ingram Micro Distribution GmbH

Challenge
The company was looking for a new solution for its Straubing distribution center as the existing system could not meet any new demands or further expansion of the center in terms of flexibility, scalability, and capabilities for automation of the warehouse processes.

Solution & Result
Ingram Micro selected the viad@t WMS warehouse management system. As the exclusive certified integration partner for viad@t WMS in Russia and CIS countries, First Line Software provided the implementation services for viad@t WMS, including customization and integration with other Ingram Micro systems.

Since mid-July 2008, the control and management of all processes has been performed by the viad@t system in both sections of the warehouse complex. In addition to process management at external stock locations – from receiving inventory at the warehouse to placing containers on the charge deck for shipment to clients – the viad@t system provided Ingram Micro with an opportunity to partially automate the process of order-picking. As a result, warehouse efficiency increased by 20 percent.

Envisioning the Future
The company’s current and future focus is on the Healthcare, Big Data Engineering, Industrial Internet, and IoT domains. The First Line team is actively searching for acquisition targets in these areas and is also planning to further develop domain expertise through both organic growth and M&A.

“We combine our technical skills and experience, industry expertise, and transparent Agile programming to advice and deliver solutions that delight our customers.”
