Aerospace and Defense: Size, weight, and power have long been the key requirements for aircraft systems. Systems need to be small, lightweight and yet still powerful enough for long range operation. But today’s systems must also be cost-effective and reliable (CR).

Ampleon has 50 years of experience in the A&D market and an established global leader in the base station, broadcast transmitters, and LDMOS technology. The company is committed to long-term support of A&D market with a dedicated longevity program that guarantees its parts will continue to be available throughout the operational lifetime of the equipment.

Ampleon offers a broad portfolio of the A&D market. In addition to GaN solutions that deliver the highest performance, it also offers dedicated Gen9 LDMOS solutions that provide close to GaN performance at a much lower cost and with higher reliability and ruggedness.

For applications such as Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA), operational flexibility is important, requiring highly efficient power amplifiers with low heat dissipation and simplified cooling requirements. Ampleon’s integrated platforms such as pallets, MMIC’s and MCMs with high linearity and efficiency are enabling the development of high-performance solutions.

Mobile Broadband: Ampleon’s LDMOS RF power devices offer robust solutions covering all cellular standards (GSM/EDGE, CDMA, TD-SCDMA, W-CDMA/UMTS, LTE) and WiMAX bands. Choose from a complete line-up of power transistors operating from 400 MHz right up to 3.8 GHz. By using LDMOS technology, they deliver enhanced RF performance with unparalleled linearity and power gain. LDMOS also offers today's highest levels of system efficiency, requiring less energy to power the network infrastructure. This enables network operators to deliver next-generation cellular services and connectivity to consumers for less operational expenditure. To help design-in and integrate its solutions in the shortest time possible, Ampleon offers various design and simulation information. It includes layout files, best-in-class large signal models, load pull and S-parameters data.

Broadcast: The Company’s leading LDMOS technologies, together with advanced package concepts, enable best-in-class power amplifiers. Greet the Bigwig

Reinier Beltman, Chief Executive Officer: Prior to Ampleon, Reinier was Vice President and General Manager of the Business Line RF Power at NXP. He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and started his career as a designer at Philips.

Prior to his current assignment, he has worked in several R&D and managerial (business) roles in Philips Semiconductors, LSI Logic and NXP in the Netherlands, USA and Taiwan.
