Established in 2017, K2O Consulting has its headquarters in Bangalore, India. The company has been founded by Dr. Paul Jeong who is an accomplished and recognized business leader in the IT Industry, both in India and Korea. He has been in India over the past couple of decades working for Samsung Korea as CTO and L&T India JV for manufacturing of Large Digital Switching Systems. He was part of govt of South Korea’s science and tech business initiatives for a couple of years. Later, he commenced Indo Korea Science & Technology Business (IKST) in IISC Bangalore under the supervision of Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. Prior to founding K2O Consulting, Jeong visualized a good potential of business of outsourcing from Korean medium sized product and IT companies. Therefore, in order to bridge the gap, Jeong started the firm.

Talking to The Silicon Review, Dr Paul Jeong shared a distinct set of values around how a consulting practice should operate, and a vision for building a new firm. “Even when there is slow down in outsourcing currently, we are identifying the geographies/industries of good potential. We are optimistic that there will be enough potential available if we can demonstrate our values – for attracting the prospects,” Jeong said.

K2O provides placement, staffing and IT software services in various domains. The company’s software services are based on substantial years of experience and technology skills across different products and domains.

“We have several years of combined experience and skills covering telecom, embedded, wireless, and application across different domains. Our expertise includes product development including product engineering and R&D, system engineering, product re-engineering, maintenance, sustenance, system integration, interoperability, field support and services,” he said.

“K2O has extensive experience in technology and IT industry. We are in strategic position to offer ODC services with matching models, assist them in having access to local market which has large potential. We track the technology migration and advancement with our networking and associations with prominent academic institutes and global R&D and industry leaders,” the CEO said.

Korea for IT Services, India for Talent Acquisition: Dr Paul Jeong

K2O focuses on Korea as it’s an emerging market for IT software services and consulting. And the company’s destination for talent acquisition and staffing services will be India. “We have marketing partner and representative in Korea. Presently, we are working on offering ODCs in different models for medium sized Korean R&D and IT companies including HR services. We would like to expand to the USA as it’s one of the biggest markets in the world,” Jeong said.

“Our clients’ opinion is very important to us. That is why we send a satisfaction questionnaire frequently, as well creating events for our customers to learn more about them and their needs. We appreciate all the responses that our customers give us and take all their recommendations into account. In the end, they do make us a better provider,” adds Jeong.

Meet Dr Paul Jeong

Dr Paul Jeong has over 30 years of experience in R&D and New Product Introduction (NPI). He has extensively worked on telecom and wireless products, solutions development and deployment including Korea’s first ever digital switching system development, deployment and country adaptation (at Samsung), and product engineering services (at L&T InfoTech). He holds a PhD in Management and researched on cross cultural issues in project management aspects of multi-site development teams across the globe. He has a keen interest in Global Entrepreneurship, International Business & Marketing including Science Business; Incubating Science & Technology based SMEs. His current technology focus areas include SNS Platform (Cognitive Interaction based), IoT (Internet of Things) and Big Data (Data mining, Data power).
