Share, communicate, and collaborate securely beyond all borders: Data Systems Analysts

Striving to streamline information technology investments to ensure workforce technology adoption”

Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) was founded in 1963 by a team of engineers working for RCA Corporation that developed the software for one of the largest wide area data communications networks in the U.S. The group subsequently formed a company and teamed with Ford Aerospace to win a major contract for the development of a similar network for Western Europe and Asia. Progressing to developing turnkey custom software systems for data communications applications for the Federal Government and large corporations, the company also developed a suite of communications applications for the civil aviation industry that enhanced flight safety. DSA is headquartered in Trevose, Pennsylvania.

The ace in DoD’s pack
Since its inception, DSA has played an important role in supporting the U.S. Warfighter. In one of its first major programs in the early 1960s, DSA partnered with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to provide a secure and reliable messaging system for America’s fighting forces and allies. DSA engineers developed the world’s first packet switch in the 1960s and helped pioneer the use of electronic messages for the DoD. These innovative solutions are critical in supporting U.S. fighting forces to command, control, and communicate on battlefields from Vietnam to the most recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Building on the company’s experience spanning five decades, DSA has deep expertise and comprehensive understanding of the operational, security, collaboration, and identity management challenges our customers must address.

The company strives to streamline information technology investments to ensure technology adoption by the workforce. DSA solutions provide a consistent user experience, simplify everyday business activities, and help meet regulatory requirements. These solutions effectively manage and repurpose content, simplify access to business data, connect employees with information and expertise, accelerate shared business processes, permit sharing while protecting sensitive
information, and provide a single, integrated platform.

DSA is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in both Hosting services and Collaboration and Content, which includes Windows Server, Azure and SQL Server. DSA also holds a Silver Level Competency in Application Development. The
Microsoft Partnership program has proven to be a very valuable resource to the company. This has translated directly to DSA’s success in helping its customers achieve their mission, providing effective support to the US Warfighter. All of these competencies have helped DSA gain greater insights into Microsoft’s latest technologies including training, pre-release
software and other resources, and provided opportunities to host joint education clinics with Microsoft and other Gold partners.

Client relationships lasting over 50 years
Acute client loyalty, with some client relationships lasting over 50 years, differentiates DSA from many of its competitors. Relationships are built on successful delivery, integrity, and mutual trust. Decades of experience in delivering solutions in heavily regulated environments also sets the company apart. Loyal customers return with repeat business, and new customers are attracted due to innovative technology solutions and the company’s reputation for service.

The future roadmap
DSA’s primary goal in the coming year is to fully leverage the Microsoft business intelligence capabilities and implement several pilot moves to the commercial cloud. With cloud and mobile technologies playing a big part in DSA’s roadmap, the company will focus on the impacts of cyber security and identity and access management within these solutions.
