Based out of Bangalore and currently also operational in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai, Styletag.com was founded in 2012 by Sanjay and Yashodhara Shroff along with three other technology professionals from the industry: Vivek SP – who brought with him 10 years of IT experience with Infosys, Prashanth HN – one of India’s leading technology bloggers and Soujanya Sreenath – a software engineer and web designer. This core team identified that there was a severe dearth in affordable and credible fashion available across India – particularly in Tier B and Tier C cities. Taking inspiration from Sanjay and Yahsodhara’s multi-designer luxury store ffolio – a fixture in the fashion scene for over 25 years – the decision to move online and create www.Styletag.com was a natural progression.

Styletag’s product portfolio encompasses a range of affordable luxury products such as apparel, bags, shoes, home décor and fashion accessories. Styletag.com constantly updates and revamps their image in keeping with fashion trends and tastes.

Styletag.com has recently raised INR 50 crore in angel funding from Jitu Virwani, Chairman & Managing Director, Embassy Group. The investment has been made in his own personal capacity. Embassy is one of India’s leading property developers who have been well known for over thirty years. Styletag.com provides insider access to curated sales and caters to fashion forward women and men who have an eye for style, and are looking to add great pieces to their closet at affordable prices.

A little behind ‘ffolio’- The first ever multi-designer luxury store in Southern India
Founded two decades ago, in 1991, by Yashodhara and Sanjay Shroff, Ffolio was the first ever multi-designer luxury store in Southern India. The store has been synonymous with some of the finest couturiers and craftsmen from the sub-continent and has acted as the launch pad for several of India’s leading fashion personalities such as JJ Valaya, Jason Cherian, Anamika Khanna, Priyadarshini Rao and Ashish Soni to name a few. A pioneer in the Indian fashion industry, ffolio, over the years, has managed to etch a niche for itself in the luxury retail. It has been responsible for pioneering the concept of in-house fashion presentations, coffee interludes with leading fashion and style personalities, curated fashion and styling advice and co-branded fashion events, which have now become the order of the day in the world of fashion.

People behind Styletag’s foundation and success

Sanjay Shroff, Founder and Director – Responsible for strategy, Sanjay carries 20+ years of experience establishing and running successful ventures in retail, fashion and manufacturing. He has an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.

YashodharaShroff, Founder and Director – An experienced fashion professional with 20 years of experience in fashion and luxury retail, Yashodhara is credited with giving the launch pad to several stalwarts of Indian fashion and she enjoys a prolific relationship with the fashion fraternity in India with strong buying knowledge. At Styletag, she is responsible for strategy.
