“Founded in 2008 as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business, APG Technologies is headquartered in northern Virginia with additional locations in several key markets across the United States.”
The world today runs on various information systems. Information Systems functionality is increasingly becoming a necessity and not an option. Imagine a company that relies on e-commerce that has its website taken down due to software failure and security issue. This fault in the software can make the company lose thousands if not millions of dollars in revenue. Thus, robustness and security of the system are equally important to ensure system confidentiality, integrity and availability. The two main challenges today’s information systems facing are operational and technical challenges, but worry not, APG Technologies is the answer. The company was established with the focus on delivering high end Oracle data management services to US defense and intelligence clients. As it grew and became an integral part as its clients’ trusted agent, the company was trusted to take on scope and technology solutions more outside the typical Oracle product solutions it started with. Over the years, APG’s delivery capability has grown to include IBM and open source Big Data solutions, defensive cyber protection, and cloud solutions, both private and public through Amazon Web Services.
Management at its Best
Talking about the service highlights, APG Technologies is a niche solution provider and is solidly positioned as a go-to provider of high end engineering solutions for complex mission sets. “We have proved time and again our ability to take on the toughest leading edge or high velocity challenges and solve what others have struggled with to the point of excessive cost overruns, schedule delays, and less than desired mission capability,” said Michael D. Janeway, Founding Member, President and CEO. “The fact that we have never departed from our core values of honest assessments, high ethics, and straight forward and open communications with our clients, our employees, and among the management team, results in delivered solutions that clients are clamoring for today,” he added.
The company works directly with clients and with other team mates and industry partners such as Oracle, IBM, Redhat, and Amazon. Its main differentiating factors are:
APG supports the Department of Defense and various agencies of the US Intelligence Community as well as other department and agencies of the federal government. It also partners with many of the nation’s largest corporations in delivering solutions such as Oracle, Amazon, Redhat, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Altamira, and Northup Grumman.
Being a federal government supplier, the company is focused on the Washington DC market but it also goes where the client is located and where other delivery partners are located. APG is a virtually based company and pulls talent from across the country to ensure success, but sometimes the best option calls for staff to be on site with a client to ensure a successful delivery and client satisfaction.
The Future Sight
For the future, the company is focused on expanding its cloud delivery capability with Amazon Web Services which is a best of bread and a rapidly growing area of interest with APG’s client base.
