Q. Why was the company set up? And how did you expand your company and its offerings over the years?

While I was carrying the automation flag around enterprises, I had acquired huge skill sets on managing RPA and AI in different fields of industrial functioning during my working with various enterprises. I realized that RPA implementation is different than typical software development. Later, I set up the company RPATech to exclusively focus on this area to optimize their impact on the functioning of an organization and to bring necessary changes to the working styles of enterprises that result in substantial value addition.

Q. Can you brief us about the history of your company?

RPATech was incepted in November 2017 with a handful of people, with a vision to democratize RPA; first step was to create methodologies to ensure right way of implementations. And we created our own tools to assist in discovery and AI elements. We believed in partner-led strategy. We are partners with UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Softomotive, Datamatics, Enate, etc. RPATech acquired its first Customer in March 2018 post which there was no looking back. RPATech has delivered innovative intelligent automation solutions to many enterprises. RPATech’s training division has trained more than 1000 people on RPA platform.

This year RPATech has won the ‘Top 10 Most Intelligent Automation Company’ award and was chosen as a top company among the ‘20 RPA companies-2019’. RPATech, a pure-play RPA Company, started its journey with a clear focus on cognitive and service delivery automation with development of RPA talent in industry to help support quick adoption of RPA. We started with a partner-led strategy with leading RPA tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere and SoftoMotive. We are the only Franchisee training partner of UiPath. Our aim was to help enterprises adopt RPA with minimum teething trouble.

Q. There is nothing more important for a successful small business than a well-defined mission and vision statements. Can you explain your M&V statements in brief?

RPATech has a mission to democratize Robotic Process Automation in enterprises. Our vision is to be the market leader in the implementation of intelligent automation. We will confront this challenge by developing innovative tools, development and customer service strategies.

Q. What is your greatest fear, and how do you manage to overcome the same?

The constant challenge is to remain relevant and top of the innovation needs of the industry and to be dynamic to be apace with other technological and managerial developments. We deal with the same with a flexible mindset and being ever open to the developments happening around us and maintaining a grip on technology and always striving to be at the cutting edge of technology and innovation.

Q. What were the biggest initial hurdles to building your business and how did you overcome them?

The initial hurdle was to help our organization understand what RPA is and how it can be beneficial for the organizations. Along with it we also faced POC mania as most of the organizations wanted us to do a PoC for their processes.

Q. ‘It is difficult to start a venture. But far more difficult to maintain it’ - How would you and your team interpret this saying?

It is to some extent true. However, once a venture is started with a group of like-minded people with a common vision, similar objectives in their minds, and in whose minds the trajectory is clearly set, half the job is done. The rest is accomplished by maintaining the team spirit and remaining alive to the changing times by bringing necessary changes to the technology and management within the dynamics of group solidarity.

Q. If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Believe in one’s own ability and to team up with a set of like-minded people.

Meet the Driving Force behind RPATech: Alok Mani Tripathi

Alok Mani Tripathi, Founder, serves as the Chief Executive Officer of RPATech. Alok’s vision for RPATech is to be an artificial intelligence centric system integrator for RPA, with a focus to enhance the applicability and adoption of current RPA tools.

Prior to RPATech, Alok had created and led the RPA CoE for many large enterprises such as EXL, NIIT Technologies, and others. He has written books, multiple articles and white papers related to RPA and AI. “Learning Robotic Process Automation” is one of his very successful books published by Packt. He has a knack of building teams from ground to help create new business lines with new-age technologies. Alok is an early adopter of RPA and has been closely associated with companies like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, and BluePrism.
