Founded in 1951 as Warren Federal Credit Union by a spirited group at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Blue FCU has always been about its members. Blue’s evolution from a modest beginning to a beacon of financial empowerment speaks volumes. In 2016, Blue FCU merged with Community Financial Credit Union, blending two histories of service and growth into one – Blue. Based in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Blue is a testament to the power of unity and shared dreams.

The Silicon Review reached out to Stephanie Teubner, the president and CEO of Blue Federal Credit Union, and here’s her response.

Q. As an award-winning credit union, what are Blue FCU’s key focus areas?

Q. What new endeavors is Blue FCU currently undertaking?   

We have recently revamped and improved our digital banking platform for all members. It’s more than an upgrade; it’s a commitment to ensuring our members have the best tools at their fingertips. This new platform is the foundation that will allow us to make technological innovation a cornerstone of our continued growth.

Certainly, innovation is not just a goal; it’s our way forward.

Q. Is there anything you would like to add before we wrap up?

‘Blue’ is more than a name. It’s a nod to our Air Force roots and our deep connection to the majestic Rocky Mountains. It signifies our belief in limitless possibilities for our members. I have been part of this incredible journey since 2005, and along with our seasoned Executive Leadership Team, we are dedicated to continuing this legacy of empowerment and community connection.

Stephanie Teubner has been at the forefront of Blue’s leadership, serving as the CEO and President since 2005. Her role as a driving force for improving community financial services in the region has been instrumental in guiding Blue through substantial expansion during the past 10 years. In addition to Stephanie’s leadership, the Blue Executive Leadership Team has collective experience of over 100 years in the financial sector. They are committed to upholding the company’s values and setting a positive example for others.
