Knowing the Key Executives

King OWYANG: A thought leader and MIT graduate, Dr. Owyang joined Computime in April 2010, bringing with him over 40 years of experience in the electronics and semiconductor industries. He currently serves as an Executive Director, the Chief Executive Officer and member of the executive committee of the Company.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in Science in Physics and a doctorate of philosophy in the field of Materials Science from MIT, Dr. Owyang began his career at General Electric (US), where he held various technical and management positions. Dr. Owyang later joined Siliconix Inc., a leading Silicon Valley semiconductor company in California, where he led R&D and Operations teams before serving as the CEO for 12 years.

Dr. Owyang is a recognized leader in the Power Metal-oxide Semiconductor Field-effect Transistor Industry, with over 20 published technical papers and 25 patents under his belt. He has also received several awards, including Industry IR100 Award in 1979 and 1983; and the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award by Enterprise Asia in 2005.

Dr. Owyang serves as a director of Alpha and Omega Semiconductor Limited, a company listed on the NASDAQ Stock Market.
