Q. What’s your story? And tell us what motivated you to establish NetReputation?

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial mindset. I’ve also always enjoyed the thrill of building something meaningful that serves a real need and adds value to people’s lives.

NetReputation was born from that passion. I noticed a sincere and growing demand for online stability and protection, particularly among business owners who surprisingly had very few quality options for managing online threats at the time. As an entrepreneur myself, I wanted to provide businesses the chance to fight back and pursue their unique vision on a level playing field.

With NetReputation, I found a way to give business leaders a way to control their online destiny, to deliver innovation and value without spending endless time and resources battling fake reviews and other negative items. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to defend and define their brands on the web, and we’ve built a reputation management service suite that helps entrepreneurs minimize distractions and realize their long-term vision.

I wanted a way to empower online opportunity and success for business owners. NetReputation is the realization of that objective.

Q. Tell me about the most difficult customer encounter you’ve experienced. And how did you handle it?

Many clients come to us in the midst of a major online crisis and are often quite upset or even panicked as they begin the reputation repair process. Because so much hinges on online interaction these days and so much is riding on what shows up in search results, this is completely natural and understandable. After all, just one negative news story or viral video is all it takes to drag your image through the mud, and that can have real consequences for consumer trust, online engagement, and long-term revenue.

Of course, this can sometimes make for a challenging customer encounter, and that’s okay. We’re sensitive to the issues facing business owners and entrepreneurs, and we take great care to address each client’s concerns carefully and comprehensively, no matter what they’re coping with. That’s just part of our DNA, and it’s essential to delivering a consistently world-class experience.

We’re not just here to help, but also to utilize all the tools and technology at our disposal to deliver peace of mind. Q. Trust is one of the most important currencies of leadership that requires authenticity and consistency to maintain. What’s your take on this?

In my experience, effective leadership isn’t possible without that constant undercurrent of trust. That’s true across any organization. Internally, being able to trust managers and senior leadership to have your back and make the right call, and to do so consistently, is key to strong workforce morale and, ultimately, employee buy-in and performance.

It’s also the beating heart of the organization. A good flow of trust between employees and management provides the lifeblood businesses need to work, innovate and move forward. Leaders must not only prove they are trustworthy; they must exhibit a willingness to trust employees and provide the breathing room they need to shine. Innovation and improvement just aren’t possible without it.

Perhaps most important is cultivation. Trust isn’t a one-and-done proposition. It’s earned and cultivated over time. I believe good and earnest leaders understand that and are always working to preserve and strengthen trust across the organization.

Q. Let’s talk about NetReputation some more. Given that the company is one of the top firms specializing in online reputation management, how uniquely does it serve its clients’ needs?

Q. About the future, where do you see NetReputation a couple of years from now?

At our current rate of growth and market share, I believe we’re poised for a long run atop the ORM industry. The demand for reputation management and online services has never been higher and shows no signs of slowing down, and as a leading service provider, I foresee a sustained and much larger company footprint both in the U.S. and around the globe for years to come.

We’ve rapidly grown our presence and client base in several key international markets, and our success with clients outside the U.S. promises to continue on that trajectory in the years ahead.
