Noha Waibsnaider founded Peeled Snacks in 2004 to fill a critical void in the snack market: tasty, convenient foods that are naturally nutritious and make people feel good about snacking. Making Healthy Snacks for over 10 Years
In 2004, Noha Waibsnaider founded Peeled Snacks in her tiny New York City apartment when she noticed there was something missing from the snack aisle. Store shelves were full of processed potato chips, corn syrup-filled candy, and energy bars made with too many mysterious ingredients, leaving snackers to feel the “spike, crash and burn” effect. Without finding any options both healthy and enjoyable, Noha set out to fix that problem.
Her solution? Tasty and nourishing snacks made with pure, wholesome ingredients to satisfy your cravings at any time or anywhere, while lifting your mood and leaving you feeling energized. Noha’s vision was and is still today to make healthy snacking as close to nature as possible. What began with three varieties of organic fruit snacks has now expanded to include crunchy veggie snacks and we’re not stopping!

From Farm to Snack
An essential ingredient of Peeled Snacks’ ethos is building long-lasting relationships with farms and suppliers. We encourage fair labor policies and sustainable farming practices.
Since the beginning, we’ve worked closely with our Mexican mango farm to establish farm cooperatives and increase organic acreage. We’ve worked hard to create a sustainable farming zone within Mexico’s Western Sinaloa region, creating good jobs and a better environment. In 2010, we supported the implementation of solar panels at the farm, helping to create a more sustainable planet through clean energy. Today the farm now operates more efficiently and continues to increase acres of organic farming soil.
Whether you’re enjoying the tangy mango from Mexico, sweet pineapple from Sri Lanka or our apple clusters from Chile, you’re helping support a system of fair labor and sustainable agriculture. It’s our commitment to the only partner with suppliers who are just as committed to supporting and growing our organic farms and upholding the UN Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
Using Business as a Force for Good
The snacks you buy have moved along a whole supply-chain from the farm to our factory, to the trucking companies, to warehouses and distributors, and lastly to the store where you purchase them. We seek to make the world a better place by setting higher standards of transparency, accountability, and performance along that entire chain. In a cluttered marketplace of false advertising and profit-only business practices, we became a B Corporation to be part of the movement to redefine the role of business in our economy. We don’t just want to be the best in the world, but to be best for the world. Our B-Corp certification verifies that we do what we say.
Kudos to the Founder
Noha Waibsnaider, Founder: Noha Waibsnaider launched Peeled Snacks to help people feel good about snacking with real food that provides a natural source of fiber and vitamins. Waibsnaider has a degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies and an MBA from Columbia Business School, ranked number five in the FT Global MBA 2013 ranking. While at the school, she co-founded the Global Social Venture Competition, an initiative that provides aspiring entrepreneurs with mentoring, exposure and $50,000 in prizes to transform their ideas into businesses with a positive social and environmental impact. She was also awarded Columbia’s 2012 Distinguished Alumna Award.
