Enterprise Applications are the operational heart of a competitive modern business. Today, transactions are processed 24×7 with reports run at any time to provide decision support across the organization, not just the executive team. For all of your ERP, CRM, GL, OLAP, OLTP, ERM, BI, and EDW workloads maintaining enterprise-class data protection, efficiency, and easy-to-manage storage performance is essential. Violin’s Flash Storage Platform ensures consistent low latency data access and throughput so that your business can deploy critical applications with the data protection, efficiency, and easy-to-manage storage performance to meet today’s and tomorrow’s business demands. The Violin Flash Storage Platform scales to petabytes enabling you to run a mix of multiple large-scale enterprise applications in a flash.
Market dynamics vary widely across industries, and every industry has its own set of challenges. While core applications are similar, success metrics are equally diverse. In Financial Markets, profits and losses are measured in microseconds; in Telecommunications, profitability hinges on customer churn and average revenue per user (ARPU); and in Healthcare, readmission rates highlight patient care effectiveness. Regardless of your industry, Violin has the answer to your complex storage needs. Violin’s unique architectural design delivers industry-leading performance, scalability, reliability, and manageability to maximize your ROI and position you for success.
In today’s data-driven world, virtualized IT infrastructure must run important applications—and your business—at full speed at all times. As more of your desktop and server infrastructure is consolidated through virtualization, delivering data protection, efficiency, and easy-to-manage primary storage performance becomes more challenging and a potential impediment to your success. Violin’s Flash Storage Platform delivers the data protection, agility, scalability, performance, and resiliency that the primary storage backing your virtual infrastructure needs to support a mix of multiple workloads. This means your server consolidation initiatives can now achieve their full potential through higher virtual machine density and application performance to maximize your ROI.
Whether your cloud computing initiatives are focused on in-house private clouds, public clouds or hybrids, Violin’s Flash Storage Platform delivers the lowest latency with consistent throughput and scalability to petabytes to meet your cloud computing objectives. Extend your onsite resources with cloudbursts into Azure, AWS, SFDC, and other service providers as needed. Enhance your IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS offerings with greater flexibility through dynamic movement of data and workloads amongst your cloud resources to help drive efficiency, raise utilization, and increase ROI.
Flash Storage Platform Overview
Historically, achieving high throughput and lower latency meant over-provisioning hardware or using software to mitigate, but not fully eliminate performance issues. These workarounds have high CAPEX and OPEX costs and still don’t meet the requirements for cost-effective storage in 21st-century businesses. It’s clear that a new approach is needed that can support growth, improve efficiency and manageability, and deliver consistent and predictable service levels without breaking the IT budget.
With the Violin Flash Storage Platform, you can deploy enterprise-class all-flash storage and achieve very favorable CAPEX and OPEX scenarios. This set of capabilities developed from a vertically integrated design of software, firmware, and hardware enable the transition of storage from legacy solutions to all-flash.
Additionally, Violin Flash Storage Platforms can address your use case today: whether it be Performance, Primary or more Capacity focused storage needs, the Flash Storage Platform has the feature set with Concerto Enterprise Data Services to fit the bill. Its management suite, including Symphony and the Simple Setup installation utility, make management tasks a breeze and eliminate many of the headaches associated with managing a storage infrastructure.
“Violin solved our ERP performance issues at a fraction of the cost of other systems. Not only are we exceeding our business service levels, we project a return on investment of 11 months with the Violin platform.”
