In 1998, Raj Sardana founded Innova Solutions (then American CyberSystems) as an information technology consulting firm. The company has since expanded to employ approximately 50,000 professionals worldwide and now reports an annual revenue approaching $3 billion. Through global delivery centers across North America, Asia, and Europe, Innova delivers strategic technology and business transformation solutions to clients, enabling them to operate as leaders within their fields.

Innova provides digital transformation solutions for businesses in various industries, including communications and media, energy and utilities, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, retail, banking and financial services, healthcare, life sciences, insurance, and hi-tech. The Silicon Review reached out to Mr. Sardana, Innova’s Chief Executive Officer, and here’s what he had to say about the company’s vision and recent verticalization efforts:

To enhance client success through continued innovation, Innova adopted a vertical business strategy in 2022. Working closely with clients to gauge their evolving needs, we identified a desire for a wider range of industry-specific offerings to guide businesses throughout the journey to Digital-First. To do this, we introduced strategic business units (SBUs) to provide segment-specific offerings tailored to generate business value for clients across key industries.”

In the near-future, Innova anticipates a significant expansion of its business units—including the further development of its new Hi-Tech SBU—helping propel the organization towards its targeted goal for future revenue growth. In addition to the expansion of its vertical strategy, the company is focused on scaling-up global capabilities to meet the changing needs of clients across different geographies. For example, Innova recently opened new offices in Europe and India to service clients in those regions.

Raj Sardana | Founder & CEO

Raj Sardana is a successful entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience working with multinational companies across several industries, including investment and workforce management.

Throughout the growth of Innova Solutions, Raj has remained committed to giving back to communities around the globe. Along with his wife, Nita Sardana—Vice President of Community Outreach and Corporate Giving—Raj has led Innova in its support of local U.S.-based non-profit organizations, including the YWCA’s Teen Girls in Technology Program, Women in Technology (WIT), and the Atlanta Food Bank. In India—where Innova has several offices and delivery centers—the company supports the Earth Saviours Foundation, an NGO located in Delhi that works to promote social consciousness and environmentalism.

Prior to founding Innova, Raj served as President and CEO of Applied Communications, Inc., a multi-media and technology company in Atlanta, Georgia. He also served as President and CEO of a multi-million-dollar private equity group with a diverse and extensive investment portfolio in the real estate, retail, and service industries. Raj also has experience working in the aviation, defense, venture investment, and financial services industries.

Raj graduated from the Delhi College of Engineering with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an Advanced Management Certification (AMP) from the Wharton School of Business (University of Pennsylvania). Raj is an active member of the Forbes Business Council and the Wall Street Journal’s CEO Council.
