A visionary leader behind the Group's success
Mr. Abdeslam Ahizoune has left his mark on the successful Maroc Telecom Group. He has been Chairman of the Group’s Management Board since 2001. With the spirit of anticipating, he succeeded, early in 2001, in developing the Group's international activities.
Mr. Abdeslam Ahizoune was a member of the Vivendi Management Board from April 2005 to June 2012. Since the end of 2008, he has been Chairman of the Moroccan Association of Telecom Professionals (MATI).
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Maroc Telecom from 1998 to 2001, Mr. Abdeslam Ahizoune, previously served as Minister of Telecommunications in four Governments from 1992 to 1995
and from 1997 to 1998 and as Managing Director of the National Office for Post and Telecommunications (ONPT) from 1992 to 1997.
From 1983 to 1992, he was Director of Telecommunications at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunication. From 1983 to 1992, he has been Director of telecommunications at the Ministry of Postal and Telecommunication Services.
Mr. Abdeslam Ahizoune is President of the Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation (FRMA) since 2006 and President of Association Maroc Cultures, which organize the Mawazine festival, since 2015.
