The Silicon Review reached out to ALEU’s New jersey headquarters and spoke with Monte Williams. Here’s what he said.

Interview Highlights

Q. How would you describe your career journey so far? And tell us what motivated you to establish ALEU.

My career journey thus far has been an endless cycle of progressive learning and I am appreciative of the experience. I have had the opportunity to strengthen my skills and hone my expertise through self-discovery by way of failing forward. When you become aware of where you can improve and what’s potentially holding you back from achieving your goals is something that serves as the precursor for creating an action plan to transform your life. This whole process starts with how you lead yourself. 

I was motivated to establish ALEU because I recognized that people were experiencing ineffective leadership with limited resources on how to improve. Our mission is to inspire passion through the leadership of self and others. We do this by helping people to lead themselves more effectively so that they can add the most value to their companies. We believe that every problem in the world can be solved through investment in people.

Q. Who do you look up to and why?

I don’t look up to any one person in particular because what inspires me can be found in everyone. I look up to anyone that has taken the journey inward, deep within themselves, to uncover what prohibits them from achieving their version of success. The reason why I look up to these individuals is that the hardest thing for us to do as humans is to deal with the uncomfortable truths, we know exist within ourselves. I am deeply inspired whenever an individual can demonstrate the courage to look for these truths, the agility to develop a plan to address them, and the resilience to act until they are resolved. Those are the individuals that I admire and look up to because they are doing the internal work that will change the external world. 

Q. What groundbreaking and proactive methodology does ALEU implement to meet customer expectations?

We believe that everything a client needs to reach the desired destination of their leadership journey perpetually exists within them or has already been provided through their experiences with one another. As a result, our methodology is centered around energy leadership and the optimization one’s mindset. Specifically, creating awareness and perspective about how we experience various levels of energy and what triggers us to react in the moment instead of responding strategically. We focus on helping our clients optimize their company’s collective mindset, manage energy and emotion, remove success blockers, and implement a sustainable system of accountability. This is accomplished through conducting a series of assessments, exercises, workshops, and coaching sessions that help create alignment within oneself which causes a tangible, positive change in all aspects of their life.

Q. How does ALEU groom professionals and unlock their potential?

ALEU grooms professionals and unlocks their potential by helping to define their future A.C.T.S. This is the acronym for the process we use to engage our clients on the path of self-discovery, which we believe is the prerequisite to unlocking their potential. The acronym is defined as follows. 

Assess: We conduct an alignment analysis to identify whether current actions are reflecting the long-term strategic goals of our client.

Curate: We highlight which trends and outliers are the biggest blockers to laying the foundation for success.

Translate: We interpret the information and create a plan that mirrors the culture and values of the client. 

Start: We begin to partner with the client in an agile, cost-effective cadence that maximizes both time and productivity based on their long-term strategic goals.

Q. Is it possible that every problem in the world can be solved through investment in people? If yes, please elaborate.

Yes, we believe so! Problems do not exist without people, nor do problems fix themselves. Therefore, we as people have the ultimate responsibility to fix the problems of our world. By investing in the people that are ultimately responsible for ‘the fix’, we empower those individuals by giving them increased resources, ideas, opportunities, and experiences. In addition, by investing in the people, we also subconsciously create a space for them to exercise their innate genius without fear because our investment in them reinforces their belief in themselves. As the saying goes, “if you believe it, you can achieve it.”

Q. What are your focus areas?

At ALEU, we have four areas of focus. They are as follows.

Executive Coaching: We work with professionals to create self-awareness that helps drive transformational change within themselves and their organizations.

Leadership Development: We work with individuals to help them develop the specific leadership skills needed to accomplish the strategic goals they set for themselves. 

Organizational Architecture: We work with business leaders on a macro level to help define and implement the most effective structure for their companies to operate productively and profitably.

Workforce Readiness: We work with businesses to help prepare entry-level employees with the knowledge, skills, abilities, and resources to consistently engage in behaviors that will lead to effectiveness, productivity, and overall success in their respective roles. 

Q. Will your company be expanding, bringing on any new solutions that we should be aware of?

Yes! In the future, we are going to offer online courses on a variety of topics that will help people lead themselves in a more effective way in both their personal and professional lives. 

Q. About the future, where do you see ALEU a couple of years from now?

I see ALEU being a trusted resource for people around the world to help develop themselves and others throughout the various stages of their personal and professional lives.
