The satisfaction of the clients and their customers, guests, and employees is the modern fuel for growth. At the heart of delivering a high level of service and satisfaction is safety. Safety is different from security, though clearly aligned. Safety is a personal feeling of being free from harm or danger, while security includes all the measures taken to provide that sense of safety. At Oosto, it’s leveraging the power of Vision AI to power the technologies to enhance the safety of the clients and their customers, guests and employees. This includes touch-less access control and video analytics which deliver the insights and alerts to protect these pivotal stakeholders from bad actors and security threats.

Oosto takes the guesswork out of automating person of interest (POI) alerting, access control and mobile surveillance to quickly spot bad actors, identify high value customers and ensure better user experience. Security and operations teams are driven to recognize threats to safety, as well as optimizing customer experience. Their success depends on accurate and fast identification of people. The human eye alone is imperfect, and most software that automates the recognition of individuals on watch-lists underperforms in realworld conditions. Powered by Vision AI, Oosto helps protect the employees and premises with automated watch-list alerting, contactless access control and mobile surveillance, without adversely impacting the user experience.

Over-the-top services Oosto provides

Technology: Oosto's world-leading algorithms are fueled by its proprietary neural networks, and are designed, developed, tested and commercially deployed with leading organizations across the globe to ensure the highest accuracy in challenging, real-world conditions. Real-time, many-to-many facial recognition video analytics push the extremes of processing power, requiring near-instant, near-perfect analysis of every video frame. That’s why it leverages deep-machine learning, live-ness detection and advanced biometrics to build its neural networks. The various areas the company explored are:

  • Detection: Optimized for speed in crowds and minimal compute loads.
  • Extraction: Extract landmarks and predict quality to avoid false positives in vector generation.
  • Recognition: Generate feature vectors using advanced neural networks with robust design feature space.
  • Tracking: Track for vector aggregation results in better face representation from multiple head poses and lighting.

Oosto OnWatch: Its purpose is Real-Time Watch-list Alerting. It identifies persons of interest in real-time with live facial recognition, enabling the clients’ security team to rapidly respond to threats while protecting the privacy of bystanders. Oosto adds visual intelligence to the clients’ existing camera network and achieves the highest stream-to-server ratio in order to maximize the value of the clients’ investment.

Oosto OnAccess: Its purpose is Touchless Biometric Access Control. A frictionless access control solution that leverages the power of facial recognition to open guarded points of entry for authorized people. Traditional access control solutions relying on card keys, fobs, and keypads leave organizations vulnerable to threats. Cards and fobs can be lost, stolen or shared. Passcodes can also be shared or stolen and physical keypads expose users to the spread of germs and the threat of cross-contamination.

Oosto OnPatrol: Its purpose is Proactive Law Enforcement Protection. Oosto OnPatrol helps protect law enforcement and military personnel with real-time alerts that enable them to proactively respond to situational changes in their environment. It will de-escalate potential threats with real-time alerts. OnPatrol flags potentially critical events before they become threats so responsive action can be taken before a crisis occurs. OnPatrol de-escalates potential threats and prevents casualties on both sides by identifying criminals and dangerous individuals in real-time through Vision AI technology.

Edge Options: Real-time facial recognition video analytics push the extremes of processing power, requiring near-instant analysis of every video frame. The stakes are high to get every identification right in order to immediately authorize entry of approved personnel and alert security to watch-listed individuals including security threats, persons of interest (POIs), or VIPs.

To scale power at this level, the clients typically need a large central server with plenty of GPUs to manage multiple camera streams. Not anymore. Oosto is harnessing the power of edge computing and Vision AI to bring physical security into the modern age. Deploy Oosto's Vision AI neural networks inside smart-cameras, near-edge devices and access control systems to automatically identify authorized personnel and bad actors without sacrificing detection quality.

Vision AI Appliance: The Oosto Vision AI Appliances brings the power of computer vision to a small, GPU-less near-edge appliance for cost-effective scale and performance. Reduce the barriers that keep the clients from employing computer vision to its full potential. The Oosto Vision AI Appliance shifts video processing to a small, GPU-rich, near-edge appliance bringing cost savings, IT simplicity, and scalability to the clients’ enterprise video surveillance program. Dramatically lower the total cost of ownership without sacrificing recognition accuracy and run time, and without investing in incremental GPUs and costly servers. Oosto pushes analytic capabilities closer to where data is collected.
