The Silicon Review
Forrest Williams are a multi-award winning nationwide firm of solicitors. The firm represents clients throughout England and Wales from its bases in the Midlands and London. The team started Forrest Williams in 2009 because they wanted to be different. Forrest Williams took a positive decision not to be limited by the service Legal Aid allows, where the government decide how much work on a case and how much support is appropriate. The firm understands that every case and every client are different – some people are very able to cope and will be happy to trust their case to us with minimal involvement, while others will require a tremendous amount of support and involvement that Legal Aid simply cannot provide. Forrest Williams is a niche practice, the team only deals in areas of law that they are passionate about and where they are able to offer an expert service. Forrest Williams has no desire to become a large, high volume practice. The firm wants to be able to offer all of its clients a personal bespoke service.
Forrest Williams’ clients are different too; they are not repeat offenders or career criminals. Unlike other criminal practices this firm does not seek to attract those sorts of clients. Forrest Williams’ clients have normally never been in trouble before, they are unfamiliar with the legal process and do not want to instruct a large practice where they will just be another number. The firm’s clients value the personal service, and hold it to high standards that the team is proud to meet and exceed.
Murder Solicitors
If you are being investigated for, or charged with, murder or manslaughter you must seek urgent help. Forrest Williams’ specialist murder solicitors can help on a private basis – they do not offer Legal Aid. If you are charged with murder or manslaughter, you will need a specialist team to advise you on whether you should plead guilty or not guilty. This will be done by your team of murder solicitors reviewing the evidence against you and taking your side of the story. They will then be able to advice on the strength of any defence you may have. As a person charged with or suspected of murder or manslaughter is likely to be remanded in custody, it usually comes down to their family or friends to find legal representation for them. If you are making enquiries on behalf of a loved one who is facing a murder or manslaughter investigation, the first decision will be whether you or they are in a position to fund the legal case.
If not, you will need to seek Legal Aid – this firm does not offer this. Forrest Williams is a private firm of murder solicitors who do not undertake any Legal Aid work. Forrest Williams is the firm you need when your case is too important to risk Legal Aid. While the offence of murder requires intent to kill or cause GBH, attempted murder requires intent to kill specifically. Intent to cause GBH is not sufficient for someone to be charged with attempted murder. The complex issue of Joint Enterprise will be key where two or more people are charged. Forrest Williams’ murder solicitors will be able to discuss this complicated, and changing, area of law. There are complete defenses, such as self-defence or mistaken identity, and partial defenses such as diminished responsibility. Forrest Williams are a specialist firm of murder solicitors.
Forrest Williams is a private firm meaning it does not offer Legal Aid and only assist where clients know that their case is so serious they need private assistance. The team works on fixed fees wherever possible and with full fee transparency – due to the complexity of these cases, Forrest Williams offers fixed fees for each stage of the case and a range of barristers of differing seniority to suit your case and budget.

Domestic Violence Solicitor
Domestic violence allegations can be difficult to deal with. Apart from the fact that you face an allegation there is also the emotional aspect of the case. Sometimes partners or ex partners make false allegations out of spite, sometimes allegations are made in the heat of the moment and the person making the allegation wishes to retract the allegation. There are also true allegations that go through the courts. Whatever the situation you need to be properly represented at court to get the best possible outcome.
There are cases where people have committed an offence that comes into the domestic violence category and want to admit it. Forrest Williams makes sure that your case is put across sensitively, giving explanations but not excuses and showing the court your remorse and regret. It is important that the court see it in context and also see your character. Forrest Williams is a nationwide practice and can represent you in any court in England and Wales, the team is able to deal with the matter by phone or email or see clients face to face in Nottingham, Birmingham and London.
