Q. Why and how did you found Desert Sound?

We founded Desert Sound because we felt a lack of innovation and feasibility of electronics like speakers and home theatres in Pakistan. There was no one in this market whom you can trust and depend on for a whole project, so we started to fill this gap in the market. We created a new concept of giving a demo and let our customers experience what they intend to buy while also building up a professional team to assist our customers whenever they need us.

Q. Given that Desert Sound is an emerging brand in the home theaters and media rooms field, how efficiently does the company serve its customers’ needs?

The company serves its customers very efficiently by giving them a demo, store display, extraordinary, and full sound experience before purchase.

Q. ‘Our passion is to provide some of the best AV and smart home solutions available at very affordable prices.’ Splendid. Would you like to elaborate on this a bit more?

There are many companies that do smart homes but are not efficient and charge high prices while also not giving the customer complete relief and solution. We keep our customer budget and space in mind and then suggest an affordable solution while also providing the service of building and designing a theater from scratch. A raw room with four walls is all we need to show our creativity and expertise.

Q. How high-tech are your smart home solutions?

Our smart home solutions are extremely smart; you can control your system using any smart device. There is no need for separate remotes for every system. With our smart home solutions, you can control your entire house with a smart device from anywhere around the world.

Q. That’s not all Desert Sound does. What are your other focus areas?

We also deal in premium audio-video, room acoustics and provide professional room treatments.

Q. From your perspective, how is the industry you serve currently evolving? And what are the trends in the different categories?

The industry in which we are currently serving is evolving very fast. More efficient and modern things are coming each day. Advancement in technology is continuously happening. Customers are also demanding hustle-free and user-friendly devices. Home automation has also evolved as you can now control your home from your smart device from anywhere around the world.

Q. Will Desert Sound be expanding, bringing on any new products or services that we should be aware of?

A few years ago, we just opened a store in another city, and yes, we are planning to expand in more cities. We currently have two stores, one in Karachi and another one in Lahore.

Q. What plans for transformation are you pursuing to remain relevant now and in the future?

To remain relevant for now and future, we train our employees on a monthly basis and send them to attend seminars and workshops, so they remain informed about other upcoming technologies. We are also a part of Cedia, and our employees attend their training every year.
