We have conducted user experience research among surgeons to develop a new version of phaco equipment used in eye surgery. It was a great experience to discuss with highly experienced doctors and analyse their requirements and ideas – especially their views on managing surgery in a complex environment.

Do you have any new products ready to be launched?
We have just launched a new service called ‘True moments’. It’s a user experience lab in Asia and Africa spread over 45 cities to do innovation testing simultaneously. This method reduces testing time in different geographies.
As a question on sustainability, where do you see your company a couple of years from now?
Our vision is to be the global market intelligence centre for innovation. Our presence is in Asia and Africa at present and we are expanding globally to reach our goals.
