Meet Deb Deep Sengupta, President and Managing Director, SAP Indian Subcontinent
Deb Deep is responsible for driving the company’s growth and people strategy as well as operations in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Deb Deep brings with him more than two decades of wide-ranging IT and management experience to the role, with a track record of increasing market share, ensuring customer success and leading effective teams. He has been an integral part of SAP India’s leadership team for over a decade and has been instrumental in establishing the SAP brand in India.
In his previous role as Chief Operating Officer, Deb Deep provided leadership, strategy and direction to SAP’s multi-functional Sales, Marketing, Support and Field Services organizations, driving continuous improvement and significantly contributing to the achievement of revenue and profitability objectives. Deb Deep was also responsible for building the SME & Channels business for SAP India, rated amongst the top SME businesses within SAP globally, in terms of key metrics such as revenue contribution, profitability, customer and partner satisfaction.
Before joining SAP, Deb Deep has held several leadership positions in Product Management, Business Process Consulting, Strategic Outsourcing, and Supply Chain Optimization engagement across India. He has completed the Executive Management Program from INSEAD. Given his expertise and experience, he is regarded a thought leader in the industry.
