Can you brief us about the history of your company?

GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research, Greater Noida has carved a distinct niche for itself in the field of management education. GLBIMR is a leading Business School of North India offering Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD Govt. of India, a program with a dual specialization in areas of Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Information Technology and International Business.

What is your institute’s position in the current market scenario?

GLBIMR offers a 2-year full-time course in Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) approved by AICTE. We ensure that education is not restricted to classroom teaching and strive for the overall development of students. We have a unique and innovative approach to management education that focuses on providing the right knowledge, imparting the right skills for enduring success in management careers. We have been ranked amongst the Top 4 Management Institutes in “Emerging Category” by AICTE-CII Survey of Industry-Linked Institutes, 2017.

Additionally, our institution was also qualified through four levels of statistical screening and short-listing to be amongst the Top 22 premium institutes providing professional education under AICTE. This was achieved with 783 participating institutes in a survey conducted by Pan India to showcase the best practices of industry partnerships across AICTE-approved technical institutes in the streams of engineering, pharmacy, management, and architecture. We have been recognized among the “Top Institutes of India” and conferred with the “CSR Award for Excellence 2018” by Competition Success Review (CSR) for the third consecutive year for achieving Education Excellence in India.

What does the curriculum comprise of at GLBIMR?

As part of the Post Graduate Diploma in Management, we also nurture corporate ready professionals. The following new initiatives were taken by GLBIMR to equip students for placements-

  • Skill Enhancement Program
  • The inclusion of new course -Soft Skill Program (SSP)- To provide soft skills, which will holistically develop the personality of the students and nurture them to operate & manage in a global, multi-dimensional and cosmopolitan environment.
  • Introduction of Value Added Certification Courses
  • In addition to the academic curriculum, following three certifications by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises -Government Ministry (MSME) have been introduced to improve domain knowledge:
  1. Digital Marketing Certification
  2. Yellow Belt Six Sigma Certification
  3. Financial Services Certification
  4. Professional Excellence for Corporate Readiness Certification (PECR)
  5. Placement Readiness Enhancement Program (PREP) - (Scheduled during Nov 2017)
  • Introduction of Employability Enhancement Programs: GLBIMR has introduced multiple workshops and expert sessions for the students:
  • Sensitization workshops for Summer Internship Program & Final Placements
  • Group Discussion Skill Enhancement Workshops
  • Public Speaking Workshops
  • Mock Interview Sessions

        We also offer distinctive Corporate Mentorship Programs, in which each student is allotted a corporate and a faculty mentor. The mentors polish students on both academic and industry fronts. Apart from the classroom learning, students get adequate exposure through live projects, Corporate Interface, Industrial visits, Dissertation, Summer Trainings, etc.      

        Additionally, our Soft Skills Program is an integral part of the curriculum with 3 credits assigned each semester. The modules are:

  1. Igniting self and Interpersonal Skills: This module enhances the students’ belief in self, with several motivational and real-life examples to understand their SWOT (Strength, Weakness, and Opportunities & Threat)
  2. Teams and Emotional Intelligence: This is a module aimed at helping students recognize their own emotions and the emotions of others in order to achieve their goals; team management through case discussions help them in real-world teams.
  3. Resume Writing & Art of Converting SIP into PPO: This module emphasizes on developing skills for group discussions, facing, interviews, and delivering effective presentations to gain the demeanor of a seasoned professional and convert a Sumer Internship Placement (SIP) into a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO).
  4. Art of Self-Branding for Successful Corporate Inning: To equip students with practical, effective communication skills, the module guides students to become active listeners with comprehension and understanding.
  5. Personal and Professional Excellence: It helps students to learn both personal and professional excellence through exposure to various selection procedures and interview techniques to become corporate ready.
