MetaSense was founded in 1999 by Jatin V. Mehta with a clear and deeply personal vision. At a time when technology was rapidly expanding across industries, he recognized a critical gap that many organizations overlooked. Access to technology alone was not enough. Companies often struggled with aligning talent, building sustainable structures, and leading with integrity. MetaSense was created to address that gap, combining technical capability with human understanding and ethical leadership. The foundation of MetaSense is rooted in experience shaped across continents and circumstances. As an immigrant in the United States, balancing the responsibilities of family life while building a professional career, Jatin developed a grounded perspective on resilience, discipline, and long term thinking. His early exposure to entrepreneurship came from his father, a small business owner in Mumbai, where he witnessed firsthand the responsibility of running a business that serves not just profit, but people. That influence stayed with him and became central to the company’s philosophy.

The name MetaSense reflects this philosophy. “Meta” represents going beyond the obvious, thinking deeper than surface level solutions. “Sense” reflects awareness, empathy, and thoughtful decision making. Together, they define a company approach that values clarity, purpose, and meaningful impact in every engagement. This idea was conceived long before similar terms gained popularity in the technology world, making it an authentic representation of the company’s intent from the beginning. What started as a technology focused venture has grown into a multifaceted organization offering staffing, workforce solutions, and digital innovation services. MetaSense operates across industries including healthcare, information technology, and government, delivering tailored workforce solutions that meet complex and evolving demands. Its services span healthcare workforce management, professional and IT staffing, and flexible hiring models such as contract, contract to hire, and permanent placements.

Over the years, MetaSense has built a strong track record, placing more than 1,250 professionals and generating close to 85 million dollars in revenue. This growth reflects not just scale, but consistent trust from clients who rely on the company for critical workforce needs. The focus has always remained on building long term relationships rather than short term transactions. A defining characteristic of MetaSense is its human to human philosophy. The company emphasizes unity, harmony, and genuine connection in every interaction. This people first approach is balanced with a strong commitment to innovation. MetaSense has developed proprietary ERP systems, invested in artificial intelligence platforms for talent discovery and matching, and contributed to thought leadership through patents and published work, including recent exploration into Agentic AI.

Today, MetaSense stands as more than a staffing or technology firm. It is a fully integrated, technology enabled workforce partner that blends human insight with advanced innovation. Its journey reflects a consistent belief that meaningful work, done with integrity and purpose, creates lasting value for clients, professionals, and the broader community.

In conversation with Jatin V. Mehta, CEO of MetaSense

MetaSense began in IT staffing and later expanded into healthcare. What strategic factors drove that transition?

Our roots in IT staffing and workforce management gave us a strong foundation in building structured and scalable recruiting systems. Over time, we began seeing healthcare face many of the same challenges IT had experienced for years, including severe talent shortages, increasing compliance complexity, and rising burnout.

In 2019, we made the strategic decision to expand into healthcare staffing. We applied the same technology-driven methodologies used in IT recruiting to healthcare environments. We automated credentialing workflows, normalized data for accuracy, and implemented intelligent matching to better align clinicians with facilities. In fact, we are proud to say that during Covid time we worked around the clock and provided the highest number of respiratory therapists to a leading facility in the state of New Jersey.

Healthcare staffing is not simply about filling roles. It directly affects patient care and operational stability. The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes was a powerful motivator behind this expansion.

Your mission emphasizes integrity and trust. How are those principles reflected in MetaSense’s daily operations?

Integrity and trust are operational standards at MetaSense. For clinicians, this means transparent pay structures, including same-day pay or instant pay; honest communication; and ongoing career support. Our recruiters are not just recruiting; they are career-guiding angels who take time to understand not only skills and certifications but also personal goals and long-term aspirations.

For clients, integrity means accurate representation of candidates, realistic timelines, and accountability when challenges arise. We do not overpromise. We communicate early and clearly. Our honest policy is always rewarding, and that primes our long-term success.

Internally, we emphasize training, mentorship, and professional development. Employees are encouraged to collaborate and continuously improve processes. Trust is built through repeated actions, and every placement reinforces that commitment.

Unity, harmony, and oneness are central to your leadership philosophy. How do these values influence MetaSense’s culture and relationships?

Unity reflects the belief that success is collective. At MetaSense, departments do not operate in silos. Recruiters, compliance specialists, account managers, technology teams, and leadership work as one coordinated organization toward shared goals. This fosters collaboration, accountability, and mutual respect and encourages teams to solve challenges together rather than assign blame.

Harmony emphasizes balance between performance and well-being. We believe sustainable success happens when people feel supported, heard, and valued. We set clear expectations while promoting healthy work practices, open communication, and professional development. These principles shape both our internal culture and how we engage with clients and candidates through transparency and consistency.

Oneness reminds us that every stakeholder matters. Clients, clinicians, employees, candidates, and community partners are part of the same ecosystem. We approach relationships as long-term partnerships and extend this mindset into philanthropic initiatives focused on education, healthcare access, community development, and humanitarian relief. This shared sense of purpose strengthens our culture and drives higher quality service.

Can you share an example that illustrates MetaSense’s real-world impact for clients and communities?

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, one healthcare system we partnered with was facing critical staffing shortages while patient volumes were rapidly increasing. Intensive care units were operating beyond capacity, frontline clinicians were stretched thin, and leadership needed immediate support to maintain continuity of care. The situation required not only speed but also precision and coordination.

MetaSense mobilized quickly, deploying nurses, respiratory therapists, and support staff within days to stabilize high-need departments. Beyond emergency placement, we worked directly with hospital leadership to assess workforce gaps, streamline credentialing processes, and build a sustainable recruitment pipeline. This collaborative approach helped reduce vacancy pressure, improve onboarding timelines, and decrease dependence on short-term crisis staffing. During the Covid crisis time, the MetaSense team worked around the clock, utilizing all resources, and not a single employee was released, and they provided the highest number of respiratory therapists to the notable New Jersey hospital facility.

Outside of healthcare, we have also helped small and mid-sized businesses strengthen their digital presence through our iMetaDex™ technology. Organizations that previously struggled to be discovered online began generating consistent inbound traffic, qualified leads, and measurable growth. Whether supporting patient care during a crisis or helping businesses compete in a digital marketplace, our goal remains the same: deliver solutions that create real, lasting impact for the communities we serve.

How does MetaSense define and measure world-class service?

For MetaSense, world-class service is not a slogan. It is embedded in our ethics, culture, and daily operations. It is defined by consistency, accountability, and outcomes that create lasting value. Filling a position quickly is never the ultimate goal. True service means placing the right person in the right role at the right time and ensuring that the placement thrives long-term.

My personal commitment to service has been shaped deeply by volunteer work with BAPS in Robbinsville and by the guidance of my spiritual mentors. Guru Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Pragat Guru Mahant Swami Maharaj. That experience reinforced a powerful lesson: service must be selfless, disciplined, and grounded in responsibility. We bring that mindset into our business. Our focus remains on quality, alignment, and sustainability rather than short-term gains.

We measure world-class service through both data and dialogue. Operational metrics such as time to fill, retention rates, redeployment success, and satisfaction scores help us evaluate performance. Equally important is qualitative feedback from hospital leaders, hiring managers, and the professionals we place. Their insights drive continuous refinement of our processes. For us, world-class service is not a destination. It is a disciplined commitment to continuous improvement and meaningful impact.

How is MetaSense proactively addressing today’s evolving healthcare workforce challenges?

By 2030, the nationwide deficit is expected to widen to over 250,000 nurses. We at MetaSense are trying to invent new methods and new processes to support such a large deficit in the coming years. The healthcare workforce is facing a convergence of challenges, including clinician burnout, persistent staffing shortages, geographic imbalances, and rapidly shifting patient demand. Addressing these issues requires more than traditional staffing models. It calls for a flexible, human-centered approach supported by intelligent technology and long-term planning.

MetaSense provides a wide range of staffing options, including travel assignments, per diem roles, contract-to-hire placements, and long-term workforce planning. This flexibility allows healthcare organizations to scale their workforce based on real-time needs while giving clinicians greater control over how and where they work. We also use data-driven insights to anticipate demand trends and proactively build talent pipelines for high-need specialties.

At the same time, we place strong emphasis on clinician well-being. We maintain consistent communication, advocate for reasonable scheduling, and ensure that professionals feel supported before, during, and after each assignment. Technology helps us move quickly and identify patterns, but human relationships ensure placements succeed.

Looking ahead, what is your vision for MetaSense and the customers you serve?

Looking ahead, our vision for MetaSense is centered on continued innovation, responsible growth, and deeper partnerships with the organizations we serve. We see MetaSense evolving beyond a traditional staffing firm into a fully integrated workforce solutions and technology organization that helps clients solve both immediate hiring needs and long-term workforce strategy challenges.

We are investing heavily in artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and platform modernization to enhance how we identify talent, anticipate workforce demand, and improve operational efficiency. At the same time, we are focused on strengthening our internal leadership pipeline and expanding our national footprint so we can support larger and more complex organizations without losing the personalized service that defines MetaSense.

For our customers, this means gaining a strategic partner that grows alongside them. Our goal is to become the benchmark for ethical, technology-powered workforce solutions. Guided by unity, harmony, and oneness, MetaSense will continue building systems that honor both innovation and humanity, ensuring that progress always remains aligned with purpose.
