RabbitWarren Animation Studios Pte. Ltd was founded in June 2022 by Jake Ohama, also known as Fumitaro Ohama, with one simple but urgent idea. Humanity is on a fragile planet that we continue to treat carelessly, and unless we change course, we risk repeating the same cycles of conflict and destruction that have defined our past. The studio exists to break that cycle through the language of animation. The story began before the company had a name. For years, Ohama and his team studied astrophysical patterns, convinced that February 22, 2022, marked a symbolic shift in Earth’s orbital cycle. On that exact day, they went to Hiroshima, Japan, and launched the UNCONDITIONABLE PROJECT, or UCDNBL. Its foundation was the idea of the “Unconditionable Heart,” a call to nurture love and connection that cannot be broken by fear, power, or greed. The choice of Hiroshima was no accident. A city that endured nuclear devastation and rose to become a beacon of peace provided the stage for a project that insists humanity can and must do better. Two days later, Russia invaded Ukraine. Suddenly, the vision behind UCDNBL was no longer just an artistic idea. It was a necessity. The world had slipped back into a familiar pattern of violence, and the project became a response to that darkness. It asked a question that drives RABBITWARREN to this day: how do we make sure the next generation learns the lesson humanity has failed to absorb?
From that question came RABBITWARREN ANIMATION STUDIOS, based in Singapore yet speaking to the world. Its flagship project, RABBITWARREN, offers metaphorical stories for people of all ages. These are not designed for quick entertainment. They are stories meant to plant seeds of courage, unity, and love in the minds of those who watch. They remind us that Earth is like a tiny spaceship traveling through the galaxy, and on this vessel, no one survives alone. The studio is not chasing business success for its own sake. It is building what it calls a “messaging project through animation.” Animation is treated as a universal language, able to cross borders and generations in a way few other mediums can. From children discovering wonder to adults searching for meaning, the work speaks to everyone. Singapore, a hub of global communication in Asia, became the natural place to anchor the studio’s operations.
The vision is long-term. Ohama grew up in Japan, a country where more than a thousand companies have lasted for centuries. Inspired by that tradition, he dreams of RABBITWARREN leaving behind a legacy that will still matter 300 years from now, perhaps even a thousand. The measure of success is not revenue charts or awards but the endurance of the message itself. In the near future, beginning in the second half of 2026, the studio will expand into licensing and advertisements, widening its reach and finding new ways to carry its message. Yet the heart of the project will remain constant. It is about unconditional love, the courage to choose peace over division, and the abundance that comes when people unite instead of fight.

The “Unconditionable” philosophy, born from Hiroshima’s silence, sits at the soul of RabbitWarren. How does this sacred foundation influence not only your characters, but the company’s moral compass, creative intent, and leadership decisions?
The content of UCDNBL’s message is by no means new. Countless books and works around the world have shared similar ideas. Yet, humanity still hurts and fights each other, imposing conditions and pushing personal theories or beliefs onto others. The world hasn’t changed. People don’t respond to empty platitudes or preachy lectures. So, we decided to create pure entertainment through animation, weaving in quantum physics perspectives and cosmic fantasy elements to build a “new worldview.” Within our team, we call this next-generation concept “quantum density.” Looking at today’s chaotic global landscape, we couldn’t just stand by and do nothing. Our first goal is to reach 100 million subscribers with RABBITWARREN. From there, we envision stories, picture books, and animations unfolding simultaneously across multiple platforms. Our project is just getting started. We never imagined we’d gain so many viewers worldwide in such a short time. With plenty of goals still ahead, we’re staying focused on tackling the tasks in front of us, one steady step at a time.
At a technical level, your studio integrates full-spectrum animation (2DCG/3DCG), AI-generated virtual identities, NFT-enabled digital rights, and immersive real-world activations. Can you walk us through how this orchestration works and how each element powers the future of media?
We’re new to the animation industry and still in the experimental stage. Each day, we’re learning new technologies and testing tools to find the best fit for our goals. While AI advancements are rapidly transforming animation techniques, legal frameworks haven’t caught up yet. Instead of jumping on every cost-effective solution, we’re committed to creating content thoughtfully and cautiously. Audiences are incredibly attuned to a channel’s overall tone and style. Even the most cutting-edge AI tech can become obsolete in a few years or face legal restrictions, so we closely monitor market trends and take our time developing content. As a fledgling venture, we work within a limited annual budget, carefully selecting the most efficient technologies for where we are now, which is why we’re intentionally focusing on 2DCG at this stage. In animation, the heart of the business isn’t technology—it’s crafting messages and stories that reso
nate. We do incorporate 3DCG for intro segments, but for a startup like ours, 2DCG strikes the best balance of cost and impact right now. To use a sports analogy, the 3DCG world is like the English Premier League. For now, our focus is on training hard and building a strong track record in Asia, so we can eventually take on the global stage with confidence.
In the world of RabbitWarren, characters are not just created they are awakened. How do you technically and narratively develop sentient digital beings that evolve with time, respond to audiences, and transcend traditional IP logic?
Our journey of experimentation and exploration is just beginning. Within our team, we’re constantly discussing how to best share the “Unconditionable Heart” message and concept. One thing we’re careful about is ensuring our content and stories don’t push specific emotions or lessons onto our audience.
We believe everyone is born with an “Unconditionable Heart and Love.” But as we grow up, shaped by our countries, communities, and environments, we’re taught various beliefs by parents, teachers, and neighbors, and we gradually forget that innate heart. Recent advances in quantum mechanics and astrophysics, however, are challenging what we’ve been taught about time and physical dimensions. For instance, concepts like quantum teleportation can’t be fully explained by traditional science or conventional ideas of time. To make sense of them, we need to consider that “past, present, and future” might exist simultaneously.
This inspired us to create an animated song called “Now Here – Focus On Now.” We take seemingly complex ideas from quantum physics and transform them into pure, accessible entertainment that anyone can enjoy.
With a long-term vision, we hope that in 10 or 20 years, children who watch our animations will naturally embrace new dimensional concepts, rediscover their “Unconditionable Heart,” and confidently navigate the world’s realities on their own terms.

Across your creations from Baby Nin Nin to ONIBALL there's an invisible thread of healing, resilience, and existential inquiry. How do you design content that is commercially magnetic yet spiritually restorative?
We’re still in the experimental phase. About 95% of the characters and episodes we’re planning haven’t been revealed to you yet. Of course, we’re thrilled to have over 30 million subscribers at this stage, but whether our content, characters, and stories are truly captivating and will continue to resonate—only time will tell, maybe 10 or 20 years from now. Audiences are always incredibly smart and sensitive to trends. There are plenty of amazing animation projects out there from other companies. If we keep moving forward at our own pace, undistracted by what’s happening around us, we believe we can achieve the goals we set out from the start.
Your YouTube channel, ‘RabbitWarren – Baby Nin Nin vs ONIBALL’, has achieved rarefied scale over 30 million subscribers. What growth mechanics, storytelling innovations, or algorithmic optimizations unlocked this hyper-viral expansion?
The pandemic pushed us to enter the animation industry sooner than planned. Our mission and the story behind our start are laid out on the UNCONDITIONABLE PROJECT website. We’re building our business as part of a movement to remind people worldwide of the “Unconditionable Heart.” With 30 million subscribers, we’re still just a small fraction of the global population—it’s merely a milestone. Our immediate goal is to reach at least 100 million subscribers to spread awareness of our project. Only then will we truly kick things into high gear. Inside our production team, there’s a strong sense that “we haven’t accomplished anything yet.” We’re still experimenting with all kinds of content, analyzing what works. We don’t think we’ve nailed it by any means—we’re seriously focused on what’s to come.
What does the future hold for your company and its customers? Are exciting things on the way?
The future for RABBITWARREN and our audience is brimming with possibilities, and we’re thrilled to keep exploring at our own pace. As part of the UNCONDITIONABLE PROJECT, we’re dedicated to spreading the “Unconditionable Heart” message, inspiring unity and courage through stories that resonate across generations. Once we hit 100 million subscribers, we plan to expand into picture books, animations, films, and games—whatever feels right for our journey—hoping to remind as many people as possible how absurd and foolish it is to hurt one another through conflict.

Jake Ohama, Founder and CEO, grew up in Tokyo and has a knack for sparking creative movements. A pivotal moment came during the 1995 Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, which claimed over 6,500 lives. As a student at USC (California, US), Jake organized a fundraising event that drew 2,000 people and raised $10,000, all donated to Kobe City. Inspired by his efforts, Kobe officials asked him to help launch the KOBE COLLECTION as part of the city’s economic recovery. That success led to invitations from Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and JETRO to create the TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION in 2005. These two fashion festivals have become iconic Japanese “Matsuri,” running for over 20 years and attracting more than 3 million attendees, making them some of Japan’s most celebrated events. Jake believes the heart of Japan’s post-war recovery lies in Hiroshima’s prayer for world peace, a perspective that drives his ventures. Now based in Singapore, which he sees as the perfect hub for reaching English-speaking audiences globally, he founded RABBITWARREN ANIMATION STUDIOS.
