“Technology companies select Trustlook for its high performance, customization capability, and ease of integration”- Trustlook

image“We specialize in mobile security, ransomware detection, antivirus, Android security, IoT security, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.”

Cyber-attackers are moving towards automation to launch cyber-attacks more frequently, while many organizations are still using manual systems and strategies to analyze security findings and contextualizing them with external threat information. Using such outdated strategies and methods, it can take weeks or months to identify intrusions, during which time attackers can successfully exploit vulnerabilities to breach systems and steal data. To address these challenges, organizations are exploring more effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) in day-to-day cyber risk management and controlling operations.

Trustlook began in 2013 as a mobile security company focused on protecting the Android platform. Their co-founder, Allan Zhang, saw an opportunity to do mobile security better during his work at Palo Alto Networks. Zhang, a security industry veteran, had a vision for a mobile security solution that goes beyond the existing tools available today, and detects and addresses zero-day vulnerabilities and advanced malware.

With over 20 million users of its Mobile Security app, Trustlook has become a global leader in next generation mobile security solutions, and has been named a leading application by AV-TEST, the foremost third-party antivirus rating firm. The company is managed by leading experts and innovative minds in the tech industry from Palo Alto Networks, FireEye, Google and Yahoo. The firm is headquartered in San Jose, CA.

Today, Trustlook is a global leader in next-generation cybersecurity products based on artificial intelligence. Their innovative SECUREai engine delivers the performance and scalability needed to provide total threat protection against malware and other forms of attack. Trustlook's solutions protect users from both known and zero-day threats by analyzing millions of code-level and behavior combinations to find malicious patterns.

Exegesis of Trustlook Mobile Security

Trustlook’s first product was a free downloadable mobile security app for the Android platform called Trustlook Mobile Security. The company still offers this product today. The app has been consistently improved and upgraded over the past couple of years, and is currently in use by 20 million consumers worldwide.

Development was not always easy, with much tweaking, analysis, and testing required to find the optimal experience for users. But the success of the product gave the company faith that its cloud-based behavioral approach to security was better than the traditional signature methods. Because of this, the company began to license its mobile security engine to third-party apps and developers.

Rationale behind Trustlook’s expansion

Like any startup, it’s important to be flexible and adjust to opportunities as they present themselves. Based on the early success of their mobile security app, they were able to generate interest from technology giants Huawei, the #3 mobile device maker in the world, and Qualcomm. Today, Trustlook powers the security for all Huawei phones distributed in China, as well as Qualcomm’s chip-level security product.
