Tomer Nuri,
The Cyber Edge was founded in 2019 by Tomer Nuri with one clear goal: to close the widening gap between what organizations need from cybersecurity strategy and what traditional service providers actually deliver. After years as a C-level executive and Vice President of Cyber and Advanced Networks at one of Israel’s largest IT solution providers, Nuri saw the same issue repeating itself. Companies were investing heavily in cybersecurity yet failing to align their defenses with their real business goals. The Cyber Edge was created to change that. The company is a strategic cyber consultancy designed for decision-makers. The Cyber Edge works directly with C-level executives across Tier-1 financial institutions, advanced enterprises, and ambitious startups aiming for global markets such as the EU and the United States. Its approach combines strong technical knowledge with a sharp understanding of business priorities, a mix that has earned the trust of major clients including Isracard—a leader in credit services, Mizrahi-Tefahot Bank, IKEA Israel, Protecht, Gigaspaces, and BTH Insurance.
What sets The Cyber Edge apart is its ability to merge high-level strategy with practical, hands-on expertise. The company offers a wide range of specialized services such as multi-tier CISO/CTO as a Service, risk analysis for high-risk environments, supply chain vulnerability assessments, cloud and digital migration security, and executive-level cyber simulations. It also designs tailored playbooks for incident response (IR), digital forensics (DFIR), and threat intelligence, ensuring clients are ready to act quickly and effectively when challenges arise. The Cyber Edge also plays a key role in defense research, aligning its solutions with each client’s operational reality and unique threat landscape. Its consultants provide clear guidance on cyber insurance, helping organizations understand how to match policy coverage with actual business risks rather than off-the-shelf templates.
The company’s expertise runs deep in operational technology (OT), Internet of Things (IoT), and industrial IoT (IIoT), where security failures can have physical consequences. This specialization allows The Cyber Edge to support critical sectors such as utilities, defense, government, and strategic civil industries. Despite its technical depth, The Cyber Edge is built around people. Nuri founded it to preserve the “human connection” in cybersecurity—direct relationships, open communication, and a pragmatic, collaborative mindset. Every project reflects the company’s four core values: ethics and integrity, professionalism, openness, and out-of-the-box thinking.
In a field often clouded by complexity, The Cyber Edge keeps its focus on clarity, strategy, and trust. Its mission is not only to secure systems but to empower leaders to make confident, informed decisions in a digital world where cybersecurity and business success go hand in hand.
In conversation with Tomer Nuri, Founder and CEO of The Cyber Edge
How does The Cyber Edge differentiate itself in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape to remain innovative and ahead of emerging threats in 2025?
At The Cyber Edge, our differentiation comes from a combination of strategic involvement, professional focus, and strong industry relationships. We stay ahead in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape by actively participating in the strategic decision-making processes of major operations. This exposes us to emerging challenges and complex dilemmas, which we address through rigorous research and close collaboration with leading vendors.
We also maintain a high level of professional focus, even if that means operating within a high-end, niche segment. This commitment ensures that we consistently deliver value in real time, positioning ourselves as trusted advisors who our clients can rely on whenever they need guidance.
Additionally, we adapt our offerings to meet the changing demands of the market. For example, we’ve transitioned to a multi-tier Chief Information Security Officer-as-a-Service model, allowing us to provide scalable, flexible solutions while maintaining close partnerships with major vendors. What this really means is that we’re not just responding to threats—we’re anticipating them, innovating, and delivering services that truly make a difference for our clients.
Can you share a recent breakthrough or pioneering technology developed by The Cyber Edge that exemplifies your commitment to innovation?
A recent example that highlights our commitment to innovation is our advanced consultancy offerings, particularly in IT and OT security integration. We help organizations bridge the gap between their operational technology and IT environments, ensuring a unified, resilient cybersecurity posture.
In addition, we provide guidance on advanced cyber analytics solutions, enabling our clients to proactively identify and respond to threats with greater precision. What this really demonstrates is that our focus isn’t just on defending against attacks—it’s on creating forward-looking, integrated strategies that empower organizations to stay ahead of emerging risks.
What are the key industry trends and challenges you anticipate shaping the future of cybersecurity and IT solutions, and how is The Cyber Edge preparing to address them?
Several key trends and challenges are shaping the cybersecurity landscape. AI is undoubtedly a game-changer, and at The Cyber Edge, we’re already integrating it into risk analysis, penetration testing, and consultancy services to help organizations anticipate and mitigate threats more effectively.
Regulatory pressure, particularly around privacy, continues to tighten, and we make it a priority to ensure our clients remain compliant while maintaining operational efficiency. Supply chain vulnerabilities are another growing concern; even cyber-aware organizations can be exposed. We work closely with major clients on both technical and legal fronts to minimize these risks.
Application and cloud security also remain critical. Without a professional, structured approach, these areas can become significant points of exposure, which is why they form a central part of our operations. Similarly, new API policies demand attention. We not only focus on securing APIs but also ensure that API negotiations and integrations meet the highest security standards.
Finally, the rise of extensive cyber offense campaigns at both national and business levels, coupled with increasingly sophisticated fraud, has heightened the complexity of threat detection. Our proactive, multi-layered approach ensures that clients are prepared to address these evolving challenges, not just react to them.
In what ways does your leadership approach emphasize collaboration and partnerships to drive digital transformation and innovative solutions for your clients?
My leadership approach is grounded in direct engagement and strong relationships with our clients. Even when another strategic consultant is assigned, I make it a point to stay personally connected and accessible. What really makes the difference is that clients know they can reach out to me whenever they face a dilemma or complex decision.
This level of involvement fosters trust, which in turn enables them to implement more innovative solutions and embrace digital transformation with confidence.
Collaboration, for us, isn’t just about working together—it’s about creating an environment where clients feel supported, empowered, and able to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
What does the future hold for your company and its customers? Are exciting things on the way?
Looking ahead, I see The Cyber Edge playing an increasingly proactive role in helping our clients navigate the evolving digital landscape. We expect to expand our work in risk analysis and data leakage protection, particularly in AI-driven environments, as organizations adopt these technologies more widely. Penetration testing will continue to be a core focus, ensuring that systems remain resilient against emerging threats.
At the same time, we’ll be supporting clients with new API policies and cloud deployments, helping them adopt these technologies securely and efficiently. The exciting part is that all of this isn’t just about technology—it’s about enabling organizations to innovate with confidence, knowing they have a partner who can anticipate risks and guide them through complex transformations.
