Urban mobility is described as the lifeblood of modern cities, a critical economic factor, and a facilitator of smart, sustainable development. Planning a smart city that delivers effective and equitable urban mobility solutions is one of the most pressing problems for cities throughout the world. Strategies to meet city mobility challenges and solve mobility infrastructure problems are unique and needs a smart city mobility infrastructure expert like Iteris to deal with it.

Iteris is the global leader in smart mobility infrastructure management – the foundation for a new era of mobility. It applies cloud computing, artificial intelligence, advanced sensors, advisory services and managed services to achieve safe, efficient and sustainable mobility.

Iteris’s end-to-end solutions monitor, visualize and optimize mobility infrastructure around the world to help ensure that roads are safe, travel is efficient, and communities thrive.

New Communications Capabilities

Advances in Connected/Automated Vehicle (CAV) technologies are making a steady transition from the research phase to the deployment phase. Through its ongoing contract with USDOT, Iteris leads the development and evolution of the Connected Vehicle Reference Implementation Architecture to help guide standard connectivity and development planning.

Mobility

Mobility Services constitutes Iteris’ work in the planning and operation of transportation systems. From early conceptual plans, through environmental analyses and preliminary design, and into ongoing operations, Iteris provides consulting services focused on applied informatics to meet the day-to-day needs of transportation providers.

Analytics

Over a decade of analytics expertise to develop insight into the operation of transportation networks that serve all modes. With the emergence of new data sources from weather to connected vehicles, this rich, informatics tool set is providing decision makers even more insight into hot spots and investment alternatives to improve mobility and understand the performance transportation networks. Iteris’ technical experts work with agencies to help interpret this data and make more informed decisions, deeper insights, and better understanding.

ClearMobility™ Platform

The ClearMobility™ Platform is the most complete solution for continuously monitoring, visualizing and optimizing mobility infrastructure around the world to help ensure that roads are safe, travel is efficient, and communities thrive.

The ClearMobility Platform applies cloud computing, artificial intelligence, advanced sensors, advisory services and managed services to achieve safe, efficient and sustainable mobility. The ClearMobility Platform enables mobility infrastructure to be monitored and operated in the cloud with more precise signal timing, better emergency vehicle prioritization, fewer crashes and injuries, and reduced labor costs.

Municipalities can manage mobile transportation in their own TOCs with the ClearMobility Platform or delegate day-to-day activities of the arterial network to the Iteris Cloud. By doing so, agencies gain the benefits of instantaneous scalability, the ability to leverage best practices across agencies and access to a wide range of transportation experts – all while freeing up their resources to focus on more critical and strategic decision making.

Future Ready: It collects data using Iteris Roadway Sensors and/or other equipment from its partners. Its advanced sensors can communicate across heterogeneous networks including cell, bluetooth, fiber, Wi-Fi and 5G.

Data is fed into software applications that span network monitoring, traveler information, asset management, analytics and freight management to provide the most comprehensive dashboard of mobility intelligence for traffic management. In addition, ClearMobility provides a wide range of management and operations processes in the form of consulting services or as managed services delivered from the Iteris Cloud.

Performance Analytics

Iteris transportation analytics provides easy-to-read diagnostics for measurement and management of transportation networks, while providing actionable information to safely optimize network mobility. Iteris software includes platforms to monitor performance of arterials, freeways and intersections with visualization data that can predict mobility and in turn be used to improve mobility.

Pedestrian & Cyclist

There is an increasing need for more robust data at signalized intersections, including vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian information. Agencies want a more complete view of intersection usage, and ensuring that safety is a key component of all future roadway improvements. Iteris provides algorithm expertise that utilizes existing detection sensors to provide enhanced data output of bicycles and pedestrians.

First of Its Kind: Built on Iteris’ patented SmartCycle® solution, which differentiates between bicycles and vehicles at intersections, the SmartCycle Bike Indicator™ is another first-of-its-kind innovation.

The SmartCycle Bike Indicator is a device that mounts onto traffic signals and illuminates when cyclists waiting at an intersection have been detected.
