Zeetta Networks spun out of the world-renowned High-Performance Networks Group of University of Bristol to commercialize the group’s leading Network Virtualisation & Network Slicing technology. It is a software company that provides network automation tools that enable Enterprises and Managed Service Providers to build and operate their networks easily without escalating CAPEX and OPEX. Our software products are based on open standards but with patent-protected extensions for virtualization, automation and network slicing and splicing™.

Zeetta Networks is recognized across the industry for its innovative technology solutions and has been awarded several awards and accolades including the prestigious “Cool Vendor” title from Gartner in 2019. The company is a pioneer in the development of fully programmable, open ICT network infrastructures, made possible by the network slicing and network splicing® capabilities of NetOS®, Zeetta’s programmable network infrastructure platform. With ever-increasing demand on networks for more and more data traffic to be carried, the need for innovative, agile and economical network infrastructure solutions continues to grow. The company is dedicated to providing precisely these solutions.

Zeetta’s network automation products maximize the operational and cost efficiency of network infrastructure and enable it to change to meet the dynamic needs of an organization. They allow clients, for example, to easily reconfigure the existing network to support a new manufacturing process in order to beat the competition, or to limit connectivity access to security teams only in an emergency.

The company's NetOS® employs Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualisation (NFV) functionality to provide network operators with a centralized view of their extended physical network(s), and enables the construction of virtual 'network slices'(i.e. separate logically-isolated sub-networks) which could be leased to Service Providers for the deployment of B2B or B2C services such as Ultra-HD video distribution, City-wide WiFi, Internet of Things (IoT) deployments, etc.

NetOS is a software defined networking (SDN) orchestrator based on the industry-standard OpenDaylight controller from the Linux Foundation®. The original open-source controller has been enhanced with patent-protected extensions to enable monitoring, control and management of heterogeneous networks containing LAN, WLAN and private LTE/5G devices. NetOS leverages SDN technology to provide IT teams full control of the network operations and allow them to construct services according to what the user wants, rather than how the network presents its capabilities.

NetOS supports key orchestration functions which enable the automated service provisioning for a greater network resilience and availability. This is a departure from the conventional provisioning of services where all the affected devices had to be configured one-by-one. In contrast, NetOS operates at a service level where the network administrator simply defines the required service at a high level (intent) and NetOS does the rest of the work by dynamically computing and configuring the devices involved in delivering of the required service.  Once deployed, a service can be modified at any time and NetOS will automatically configure the changes, minimizing any disruption to the end users and without interrupting existing running services. These features can be further extended to support more advanced orchestration functions such as self-organising and self-healing capabilities.

Zeetta’s core technology has been developed over the last five years by the High Performance Group in the University of Bristol as part of European, UK Government and Industry funded research. Zeetta’s NetOS® technology is currently used in the Bristol's Horizon2020 REPLICATE Smart City deployment, the first worldwide Smart City deployment based on Software Defined Networking and Network Virtualization principles.

Delivering Quality

Zeetta's customers operate medium and large-scale heterogeneous private networks that provide connectivity services to thousands of devices and users. So, Zeetta offers high-quality software automation tools that enable them to control, operate and monitor their networks in a simple, flexible, customizable and cost-effective way so they can optimize the utilization of their network infrastructure and deliver a better experience to their customers.

The company's software transforms their traditionally static network into a programmable platform that allows better monitoring of devices, users and applications across the network, eliminates manual network processes and provides advanced security and cost savings, whilst also enabling the development of new revenue-generating applications.
