Story behind their Inception

Born out the brains of three technology lovers, the co-founders now and co-workers then known to each other for a few years already. Before getting into Walking Tree, which started as a provider of HealthCare Management software solutions targeting hospitals as target customers, the founders already had tried some of those small business ideas. The company eventually shaped up as a strong technology solutions and services provider and gained focus on leading edge UI technologies.

To shed more light on how they started, Alok Ranjan, COO, Co-Founder & MD, said “We identified the rich UI application development frameworks as a niche technology area and took the lead on various existing frameworks to emerge as a leader in technology training and consulting world. By 2013, we had gained enough experience to become a matured company providing technology services small to big customers across the globe.”

Before his stint at Walking Tree, he worked with NewGen, Virtusa, Convergys and Enterprise Glue. He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT, Delhi.

Ajit Kumar, CTO, Co-Founder- Carrying over 16 years of experience in technology areas ranging from entrenched systems to large enterprise applications, Ajit has gained wide experience by working with various multinational corporations such as Honeywell, Hughes, Virtusa, and Convergys, before finding his own company Walking Tree — which helps its customers build habit-forming product.

Apart from being an enthusiast entrepreneur, Ajit has authored books on open source frameworks, including Sencha and ADempiere, which he considers his way of thanking the awesome open source community!

Pradeep Lavania, CFO, Co-Founder- Pradeep is a master of all business venture life cycle, including conceptualization, design, development, leadership, resource management, milestones, business development, market penetration and expansion. He is considered as core strategist to the heart and has attained great capabilities to think out of box.
