Jeffrey Papen, CEO and Founder – Jeffrey is CEO, founder and chief evangelist and visionary for Peak Hosting and Peak Web Consulting. Since founding the company in 2001, Jeffrey has grown Peak Hosting into a major player within the managed hosting industry, running the networks for many leading Web 2.0 companies, as well as architecting national network backbones and managing connectivity between global data centers. In addition, he’s working to make Peak Hosting a role model in how treating your employees well leads to better corporate success. Before establishing Peak Hosting, Jeffrey amassed over 20 years’ experience implementing BGP load-balancing and multi-homing policies at both Yahoo! and Excite@Home. While at Yahoo!, Jeffrey developed a myriad of proprietary network analysis tools, including SQL-based bandwidth usage and billing reconciliation (Happydog), ISP SLA testing (Glacier), BGP transit analysis (TUNDRA), and non-invasive multi-homing performance testing (Alpine) applications. Jeffrey is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Computer Science Engineering, and is an analyst for Coleman Research Group. Jeffrey is a frequent industry lecturer, and has invested his time and expertise in mentoring many incubator and accelerator programs.
