Tell us about your first product that was launched?
Our first product was called ‘Project Hub’ which allowed all members of a project team to communicate and collaborate. One major cause of project delays was miscommunication among the project team members. With Project Hub all project team members had a single standard platform to collaborate and communicate. Since major Project Management tools in the market at that time did not offer comprehensive team member collaboration, Project Hub was developed to standalone as a single solution or as a complementary tool to leading project management products.
How successful was your first project roll on? Share the experience?
The first project implementation of Project Hub was challenging but successful. While in general users do not like change, the ease of use and the benefits of using Project Hub soon overcame the adoption challenges.
What challenges did you face in your initial years? What can your peers learn from it?
The main challenge we faced initially was to secure our first major customer that we could use as a reference for future opportunities. Most companies were reluctant to adopt new technologies and new ways of doing things especially from a new company. The other main challenge was developing solutions that would still remain relevant in a constantly changing market place. Insynchro overcame these challenges by being focused, persistent and highly adaptive to market conditions.
What were the grounds on which you have expanded your company and its offerings over the years?
Project Management is a global discipline and the same gaps and challenges are being faced by the project community irrespective of where they are geographically. This provides great opportunities for Insynchro’s solutions. We reach the global market through a network of channel partners.
What do you feel are the reasons behind your product popularity?
Insynchro products are very targeted and solve ‘real’ problems faced by the various groups in the Project Management hierarchy. It is need based. With the SaaS model due out in December, the cost for acquisition of this solution comes down substantially and reduces hours of difficult analysis to achieve clarity on project status.
What drives/inspires you to excel in your field of business?
Apart from the obvious financial rewards, we would like to take ‘Project Monitoring’ to the next level where avoidable aspects causing project delays and budget overruns will become a thing of the past. The percentage of project failures and delays with budget overruns all around the globe is still incredibly high despite the utilization of various project management solutions.
New technologies, such as Drones and IP Cams, real-time visual information from project sites will provide the necessary visibilities to everyone involved in the projects. Not everything goes according to plan during a project but having these visibilities will enable proactive measures to be taken to keep the projects on track and within budget. We are kept on our toes and inspired by the advent and convergence of new technologies and how it can help improve project management practices and improve the ROI for every project.
How do you and your company contribute to the global IT platform and society at large?
Being very focused on one discipline has allowed Insynchro to come out with innovative solutions to address existing issues in the Project Management space. When these solutions provide true benefits it will have a positive network effect to the global community.
Do you have any new products ready to be/getting ready to be rolled out into the market?
Yes, ‘Executive Eye’ has been offered as an On Premise solution all this while; however the Cloud offering for Executive Eye will be rolled out in Dec 2016.
Where do you see you and your company a couple of years from now?
Insynchro already has a prominent presence in the Project Management Solutions and Services space. We see ourselves becoming the leaders in providing innovative solutions to the Project Management Industry globally.

David Kochummen, CEO: David is the CEO at Insynchro and together with his
partner, has grown the company from a 3 man shop to a dynamic team of over 50. Insynchro has ‘direct’ presence today in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and the United States.
Mathew Kochummen, Co-Founder: In December 1999, Mathew co-founded Insynchro with David Kochummen. Mathew plays a few roles in the company with the main areas of focus being management of the operations of the group of companies, finance and business development activities. Mathew currently manages the US operations out of Bellevue, Washington State.
