A Plant Health Technology Company, Agricen Help Growers Meet the Demands of Modern Agriculture by Providing the Most Effective Tools

thesiliconreview-michael-totora-president-ceo-agricen-18

Agricen, a Loveland Products Company, is a plant health technology company delivering biochemical-based products that sustainably enhance plant health, nutrition and performance.

Agricen is committed to delivering new solutions for agriculture - ones that are based on nature and built on science - so that farmers can grow the food it all need more efficiently and sustainably. Growers around the globe are facing increasing costs, the need for greater productivity and the demand for more sustainable agricultural practices. Agricen's innovative plant health products are biocatalysts that help meet these challenges by improving the availability and uptake of a broad range of nutrients from fertilizers and soil nutrient sources. By incorporating Agricen’s products into their plant nutrition programs, growers can improve their nutrient use efficiency, boost plant performance and increase their yields economically and sustainably.

Agricen's products work within a grower’s established fertilizer program, making nutrients more available to the root system and stimulating greater plant growth and productivity than fertilizer alone. Tested and proven in over 1000 studies and counting - including field and greenhouse studies performed by major universities, the USDA, and other third-parties - they consistently perform over a broad range of plant species, soil types, application methods and grower practices, including certified organic and conventional production practices. Growers who use Agricen’s products generally see improved plant performance, higher yield responses, and increased fertilizer efficiency, year after year.

Agricen’s products for agriculture are available under the Accomplish® LM, Extract PBA and Titan® XC brands available from Loveland Products through Crop Production Services. They are also available under the company's proprietary SoilBuilder™ brand.

Agricen's plant health technology is also used throughout the turf and ornamental plant market, helping turf managers, nursery operators, landscape professionals, homeowners and gardeners get the most out of their fertilizer programs by sustainably improving plant health, quality, and performance. Along with Accomplish® LM and Titan® XC, Agricen’s turf and ornamental brands include SoilLife™ and NutriLife®.

Agricen’s History

In the late 1950s, Texas farmer Bob Pedigo pioneered the original product technology, launching products with applications in plant nutrition and soil and water remediation.

In 1998, Mr. Pedigo licensed his processes, formulations and worldwide commercial rights to Agricen, and then called Advanced Microbial Solutions (AMS). Since that time, the Company has been dedicated to providing the agricultural and turf/ornamental markets with practical plant health and nutrition product technologies derived from the diverse biological and biochemical content of Mr. Pedigo’s original products.

In 2012, the Company’s commercial and R & D operations became separate sister companies and were respectively renamed Agricen and Agricen Sciences in 2013. Today, Agricen is a leader in the delivery of biochemical technologies that enhance plant health and nutrition to provide growers with the tools they need to increase productivity and sustainability, while Agricen Sciences is a research-focused entity devoted to the development of novel microbial and biochemical solutions for plant nutrition and health.
