We’re proud to help our customers on their journey to grow long-term environmental, social and economic value throughout their supply chains.

The supply chain industry is witnessing an exponential growth. With the growing complexity, risks involved and problems faced will rise too. Risk is defined as anything which may impact a business’s operations. However, risks involved may not always be negative. A sudden surge in demand for a product is a risk encountered, but a positive one. When this occurs, executives at the company turn to manufacturing and the supply chain in order to increase production.

Supply chain risk management is critical to the success of any organization. Understanding enterprise risk is pivotal because one of the potential outcomes of enterprise risk assessment is getting a clear picture of any issues regarding Employee Safety and Supply Chain Performance. Headquartered in California, Avetta transforms how enterprises assess and mitigate risk within their supply chains, simplifying the engagement and evaluation of suppliers to ensure alignment with each client’s unique operating requirements.

Avetta provides a cloud-based supply chain risk management platform. Its global solution is uniquely designed to connect the world’s leading organizations with qualified suppliers, driving sustainable growth. The company’s SaaS subscription software is used by more than 56,000 active customers in more than 120 countries. Avetta’s process is collaborative, and its global reach is complemented by its local expertise. Over 300 of the world’s biggest organizations depend on Avetta to align their supply chains to safe and sustainable business practices.

Avetta: Stay Connected. Stay Informed.

Avetta was originally founded with a vision to make a large impact on the health and safety of contractors’ employees. The company founder, John Moreland, worked 10 years in petrochemicals as a Health and Safety expert and saw the need for a centralized service. The opportunity arose to be a clearinghouse of contractor safety information -- to drive transparency and trust between an industrial hiring company and the supplier. Motivated by the mission to make a real-world impact, Avetta was established in 2003.

Challenges Faced In Supply Chain Risk Management

As outsourcing continues to take a stronghold and the economic and operational value it delivers is being realized, the supply chain model has not only grown exponentially, but it has also permeated virtually every business category and geography.

The management of risk in supply chains has now become an established, albeit fairly recently, element in the fields of Supply Chain Management. In addition to such cross-functional contributions, Supply Chain Risk Management contributes to the decision making processes in most functional areas within a business. Risk management generally improves supply chain partner relationships as information sharing improves. Trust also increases as the practice of risk management demonstrates commitment and capability the supply chain can count on.

The company is looking to move mountains by enabling companies to assess their partners, not solely on what business the partner operates, but also on how the partner operates its business.

Building Trustworthy Bonds through Responsive Technology and Human Insight

Avetta’s proprietary SaaS model is both intuitive and adaptive. Unlike many of the one-size-fits-all models of its competitors, Avetta’s technology is suited to the individual client. The company goes to great lengths to understand the minds of its clients and embed that insight into configured risk management solutions.

Avetta partners closely with its customers to ensure the products and services offered are in line with their needs and expectations. The firm co-innovates by gathering feedback and validating with customers at each stage in software creation, from ideation to prototyping to development.  This co-innovation cycle establishes a synergy between Avetta and its customers; delivering the right products and services to maximize value within their organizations.

The Roadmap Ahead

Avetta plans to launch Avetta Connect, the most advanced supplier qualification platform in the supply chain risk management industry in the second half of 2018. To meet the demands of an ever-growing network, Avetta Connect represents a modernized iteration of what the Avetta technology platform providing fuller visibility into users’ supply chains with the usability conveniences today’s technology consumers expect.

Avetta Connect users will experience vast time-savings in terms of quickly identifying and managing their supply chain needs; and, the platform will allow Avetta to deliver solutions faster and allow greater configurability to its massive, worldwide network of clients and suppliers.

Avetta is proud to support its customers on their journey to sustainability. Avetta’s platform helps its clients create, protect, and grow long-term value by mitigating sustainability risks in the supply chain—thus controlling costs, protecting market share, protecting brand, and reducing premiums. Avetta aims to continue to deliver to businesses advanced tools and resources that foster sustainable growth while being recognized as the world’s leading innovator in sustainable supply chain management.
