Brian Barker, Founder & CEO
Brian has over 25 years of experience in the computer software business. Prior to NorthBay he was a Director at EMC Corp. He also served stints as CEO of Cambridge Technology Vision, an M&A SaaS vendor acquired by Intralinks and as President of ClearSpring Technologies, an event driven management software vendor acquired by Veritas. He also has served as President of Onetone USA, a workflow vendor acquired by Lotus Development Corporation; Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Synthetic Networks, a network testing vendor acquired by Agilent; Vice President of Sales and Business Development at the mobile software vendor Isovia, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at CambridgeDocs, acquired by EMC.
Raza Shaikh, Founder & Vice President, US Technical Services
With over 15 years of delivering technology services and building products, Raza brings a wealth of experience. Along with running Kendall Square Labs, a mobile apps business, he has been part of the Broad Institute of MIT & Harvard, building their Chemical Biology Informatics Platform before joining NorthBay. Raza also has helped build Formulatrix a robotics and software company in the life science area dominating the protein crystallography automation market.
He has worked with Techlogix building products including content moblization platform for Clickmarks (acquired by Vodaphone) and managing Fortune 100 customers in the Digital ID and Financial sector for software services. Prior to that, Raza lead the development of CRM products for telecom for Vroom, a venture backed company and worked in Video Conferencing area before that.
Rizwan Virk, Founder & Board Member
In addition to NorthBay, Rizwan is a high tech entrepreneur, an author, independent film-maker, and angel investor. He has started several high tech companies, and invested in and mentored the founders of dozens of others. Rizwan was the original co-creator of Tap Fish, a mobile game that was downloaded more than 30 million times on the iPhone and Google Android phones. Some of the companies that he’s co-founded or invested in include: Gameview Studios, CambridgeDocs, Brainstorm Technologies, Service Metrics, TapJoy, iddiction, and many others. Rizwan received a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and M.S. in Management from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
