“Headquartered in San Rafael, CA, USA, SafetyChain Software’s mission is to help providers of consumable goods enforce – in real time – all safety & quality requirements at every point along their supply chain via innovative Safety Chain Management technologies.”
With the advent of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), fast-growing adoption of Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards and heightened public awareness of food safety and quality issues, the complexities and pressures of the food and beverage industry continues to grow at a rapid pace. As a result, many ‘point or silo solutions’ have cropped up in the marketplace to help companies address challenges related to specific components of their food safety and quality management programs such as document management or audit forms. SafetyChain’s food safety and quality operating system takes a more holistic approach, providing the industry a comprehensive solution with the critical tools needed to more effectively and efficiently manage program execution along with online, centralized food safety and quality operational data to facilitate ongoing continuous improvement.

To support SafetyChain’s mission is to improve the safety and quality of global food supplies, they leverage emerging technologies to increase the speed and efficiency that food safety and quality data is collected, evaluated, and responded to – in the field, at the receiving docs, on the factory floor or in retail and food service environments. SafetyChain utilizes cloud computing for global access and scale, IoT for automated data collection, big data for high volume evaluation, and mobile for on the spot access and response to actionable intelligence.
