Founded by Manish Dabkara on 10 Aug 2008, EKI Energy Services Limited is India’s first public limited company and an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization working in the field of energy, carbon and quality management, with the brand name of EnKing International. It is one of the leading firms in India, having more than 1000 national and international clients with 5 nationwide offices, headquartered at Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Getting off to a flying start

EnKing International’s first project related to carbon credit was awarded by Pratibha Syntex limited for a natural gas-based power plant in Verified Carbon Standard. It was executed successfully, and since then, it has worked on more than 500 projects. EnKing International helps businesses to meet Carbon Emission Reduction target under Paris Agreement by determining Carbon Footprint and become Carbon Neutral or trade the Carbon Credits. The company also helps organiztaions to implement ISO standards like ISO 9001, 14001, 50001, 18001, etc. and also help in ZED rating and lean manufacturing.

Like every organization on the path to success, EnKing International too had its fair share of challenges when it started out. But the company was focused on making its mark in the market. Eventually, it opened up many verticals into food/tiffin services, solar water heater sales, carbon credit services, energy audit services, but it couldn’t direct its concentration on anything. So, it later moved on to just carbon credit services and ISO certification services. Now, EnKing International has over 1000 clients in over 40 countries along with a 90% market share of Indian projects. It’s major clients include Mahindra Group, Adani Group, Soft Bank, Fortum, ACME, Mytrah Energy, Greenko, Hero Future Energies, National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), United Nations (UN), World Bank, The Kenya Government, etc.

Another major challenge that the company had to go through was cash flow management and team retention. EnKing International has witnessed a huge cash crunch a few times. It had to take high loan amount to make up for the financial differences, but now it has good backup reserves. In the past, much left/layoff happened. Luckily, the company has been stable for the last three years and has been growing at a much faster pace. It aims at building a team of 100+ employees with a turnover of more than 100 Crores in the coming three years and make the company a desired workplace for them. This sums up the journey of a high debt company to a zero debt and surplus reserve company.

As the CEO, Manish is responsible for the company’s existing operations and new business development in India and overseas. He is the Principle Consultant – being M.Tech in Energy Management & BEE- Certified Energy Auditor & Manager. He has an extensive experience in the field of Energy & Climate Change essence of UNFCCC.

Manish has worked in SGS-UK, a leading DOE (Designated Operational Entity) for validation and verification for CDM at South East Asia Pacific region, GIZ Germany, Stenum-Austria. He has been instrumental in the development of more than 500 projects under CDM registration, Energy Audit and is widely considered as an authority on the subject of Energy, Carbon & Environment & management.

Mr. Manish has got various quality and management certifications from IIM Ahmadabad, IIM Indore, CII and BEE. With such rigorous knowledge of technologies, management and business strategies he has put EKI Energy Services Ltd in the global market map within very short span of time & established its brand name recognized as ENKING INTERNATIONAL.
