A little more on SoftTech’s inception
Starting with a team size of six members, SoftTech was established using the funds invested by promoters in 1996. As the company grew, SoftTech received funds from Technology Development Board (Govt of India), SIDBI Venture Capital Ltd and Rajasthan Venture Capital Ltd for development and growth. The company has been a profitable one, since its inception and has achieved a CAGR of 30% over last five years.

For years, SoftTech has been innovating reliable and world class software products for the construction and infrastructure industry. Their products enable customers to reduce costs, increase productivity, have effective control and improve resource utilization in-terms of people, infrastructure and customer service.

“AutoDCR” is their flagship product, implemented in 150+ municipal corporations and ULBs in India. “AutoDCR” reads the building plan drawings in CAD format; maps them with the Development Control Rules (Building Bye Laws) and provides a compliance report enabling the authorities to approve or reject the building proposal. This helps in eliminating human errors and speeds up the building plan scrutiny to a great extent. AutoDCR’s Web component “BPAMS” (Building Plan Approval Management System) helps the Architects or Consultants to upload the building proposals through internet to the approving authorities and track their progress from its submission till final approval. Apart from building plan, other statutory documents can also be uploaded with the proposal.

“PWIMS” – Public Works Information Management System is a web based application for managing the core functional processes of works planning, procurement and maintenance in public works organizations. “PWIMS” has been adopted by seven state-wide government infrastructure organizations in India.

“OPTICON” is an ERP software application, tailor made for construction enterprises like Real Estate Developers and Turnkey Contractors. With intelligently built modules for projects, finance, plant & machinery, “OPTICON” has been helping construction companies in India, UAE and Africa to optimally manage their businesses.

Knowing the Key Executive
Vijay Gupta, Chairman, Founder & CEO- Vijay established SoftTech Engineers Private Limited with a team of just six persons in 1996 and today SoftTech has more than 250 team members, mostly engineers with IT expertise. He is one of those few IT professionals who have created ‘Intellectual Property’ developing indigenous software.

Under Vijay’s able leadership SoftTech grew steadily during last 20 years. Vijay conceptualized and developed new software products like “STRUDS”, “QE-PRO”, “ESRGSR”, “OPTICON”, “PWIMS” and the International Award winning “AutoDCR”. All these software are patented under Indian Copyright Act.

An acknowledged authority on e-Governance having industry experience of 30 years, Vijay is a first generation entrepreneur; who built a software product company of repute during last 20 years.

After completing masters from IIT Mumbai in 1986, Vijay initially worked in companies like ‘Crompton Greaves Ltd.’ and ‘Godrej & Boyce Ltd.’.
