Logitech Unveils Extend: A Sim...Extend simplifies the meeting setup process by allowing staff members and guests to quickly connect their personal devices to in-room video equipment
Designed to simplify video conferencing and content sharing in Android- and BYOD-based meeting rooms, Logitech introduced Extend, its newest innovation in Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) technology. Extend enables users to walk into a meeting room and start a session directly from their laptop or mobile device using just a USB-C cable.
Extend simplifies the meeting setup process by allowing staff members and guests to quickly connect their personal devices to in-room video equipment without the need for extra software or drivers. This does away with the requirement for platform-specific adapters and any compatibility issues. Users may easily start video conferences or share content using popular apps such as Zoom Rooms Appliances, Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android, and Google Meet on Android. For hosts who prefer to use their own devices during meetings, Logitech Extend's capability to temporarily bypass the assigned video provider in these rooms is a crucial feature.
In line with Logitech’s sustainability efforts, the Extend device is made with a minimum of 40% post-consumer recycled plastic, further contributing to the company’s commitment to environmentally responsible design. It aligns with Logitech’s Design for Sustainability (DfS) principles, a hallmark of its growing video collaboration product line. Logitech’s Extend is set to enhance meeting room flexibility while supporting the company’s broader sustainability initiatives.
