Abdeslam Ahizoune, Chairman of the Management Board
Abdeslam holds an engineering degree from Telecom ParisTech (1977). He has been Chairman of the Maroc Telecom Management Board since February 2001 and was a member of the Vivendi Management Board from April 2005 to June 2012. Since the end of 2008, he has been Chairman of the Moroccan Association of Telecom Professionals (MATI). He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Maroc Telecom from 1998 to 2001 and previously served as Minister of Telecommunications in four Governments from 1992 to 1995 and from 1997 to 1998 and as Managing Director of the National Office for Post and Telecommunications (ONPT) from 1992 to 1997. From 1983 to 1992, he was Director of Telecommunications in the Ministry of Post and Telecommunication Services. He has also been President of the Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation (FRMA) since 2006.
