Q. Klika Tech specializes in embedded systems, cloud, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning solutions. Can you elaborate on how these areas of expertise contribute to the development of innovative solutions for your clients?

The embedded component is crucial in any IoT product, despite often being small and less visible. Implementing embedded firmware is challenging due to physical limitations and complexities of modern devices with constraints like battery life, sensor precision, regional requirements, efficient connectivity and others. These parts of the system, however small, represent the foundational layer of any IoT product and are essential for its success, and with our board expertise we deliver based on more than a decade of successful projects. We assist clients in designing new IoT devices from semiconductor level up to the cloud and building in the cloud, or solving issues in existing products. Our work relies on our experience and partnerships with global semiconductor manufacturers like STMicroelectronics, Infineon, and Espressif. Smart devices typically communicate with a cloud platform, essential for data collection, scalability, and analytics. We leverage our AWS Advanced Tier Partner status to help clients build cost-effective, scalable, secure and efficient infrastructure for global growth.

IoT applications go beyond data collection; clients now expect intelligent insights. AI and ML play a vital role in meeting these expectations. For example, a smart device on a factory floor can analyze sensor data to identify and solve machine errors, enhancing efficiency. Combining IoT’s precise sensing capabilities with AI leads to significant benefits. I believe AI and advancements in large language models (LLMs) will drive the future development of IoT devices.

Q. Talent acquisition and retention are crucial in a competitive industry like technology. How does Klika Tech attract and retain top talent globally, and how does this contribute to the company’s success?

As a former programmer, I understand the importance of working on engaging projects. We have and will continue to create a portfolio of exciting IoT projects that allow our team to tackle real-world challenges, keeping their work interesting, relevant, and rewarding. In my opinion, this is one of the main attractors of talent for our company. We also conduct regular all-hands meetings and maintain open communication, striving to establish an atmosphere of trust that helps retain people even in the turbulent world we currently live in.

Our approach begins with truly understanding what each client is aiming to achieve. One of the first things we do when we engage with a client is to organize deep-dive sessions where we get to grips with the client’s business environment, their strategic objectives, and the particular challenges they face in their industry. It’s about laying a solid foundation of understanding right from the start. From there, maintaining close ties with the client and their team becomes crucial. We operate using agile methodologies, which really facilitate this. We have regular joint demo meetings and planning sessions with client-side teams. This not only ensures that we’re continuously aligned with our clients’ needs but also allows us to adapt based on their feedback.

Another aspect is our team composition. When putting together a team for a project, we always select experts who have prior experience with similar challenges in the client’s industry. It’s about leveraging existing knowledge and insights to navigate the unique challenges more effectively. Q. What does the future hold for your company and its customers? Are exciting things on the way?

In my view, the evolution of computing has reached a moment where traditional desktop interfaces—like keyboards and mice—are becoming just a fraction of what technology can now handle. With the enormous advances in computational power and the creation of sophisticated infrastructure, applications today can process much more than simple cursor movements or keystrokes. We’re entering an era where the personal computer is just one of many intelligent devices in our homes and offices. These IoT devices, equipped with sensors and connected to the cloud, produce diverse data streams. When these data streams are integrated with AI and Machine Learning, they unlock extraordinary possibilities.
