“As far as focus is concerned, we invested time and effort educating the team on pyramid principle as we need to teach everyone upward and downward communication. Having clarity in communication is a key to our success.”

Digital technologies lie at the heart of nearly every industry today. The automation and greater connectedness they afford have revolutionized the world's economic and cultural institutions—but they've also brought risk in the form of cyberattack. Threat intelligence is the knowledge that allows you to prevent or mitigate those attacks. Rooted in data, threat intelligence provides context—like who is attacking you, what their motivation and capabilities are, and what indicators of compromise in your systems to look for that helps you make informed decisions about your security.

Resecurity is one such cybersecurity company that delivers a unified platform for endpoint protection, risk management, and cyber threat intelligence. The company provides next-generation endpoint protection and intelligence-driven cybersecurity solutions to leading Fortune 500 corporations and governments worldwide.

Resecurity was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California.

Rewind: How it All Started

Resecurity was started because the threat landscaping was changing and the key was that everything was changing to data-driven solution. Not just about security theatre but actual threats.

“None of these AI/ML would work without a fresh example of actual data, so we started Resecurity as a data-driven intelligence company and built our technology on top of the data.”

The company is built by operators and run by operators, which makes them a bit of a snowflake in building a product that is mission ready.

The key is having the right data, right intelligence at the right time. Resecurity does not focus on security theatre, but actual threats. Intelligence is about data that is derived from human intelligence. There is only so much signal intelligence can do and it’s also a lot of noise and data fatigue.

“In combination of our platform and services, we are able to deliver tailored intelligence for our customers globally. Not just pretty pictures.”

“Our focus is always to acquire the best-tailored intelligence for our clients’ needs such as identifying cyber mercenaries, organized crimes, nation-state, APT groups, etc. From our perspective, data is the revolution. All solutions today talk about AI or ML, but without fresh set of data, it’s very limited.”

Resecurity has pooled the largest signal and human intelligence globally where it has the luxury of understanding actual threats and connecting the dots in its data lake.  In the end, the company is supplying data to change how technologies and operations operate better.

“As far as focus is concerned, we invested time and effort educating the team on pyramid principle as we need to teach everyone upward and downward communication. Having clarity in communication is a key to our success.”

“We believe in having a simple mission. Not some statements with verbs and nouns—but a statement that drives problem-solving and achievable objectives.”

“Myself included and everyone on the management, we are direct and undeviating. We try to keep things simple and measurable. We don't measure the team by achievement or target. We focus on problems that we are faced with and solving them. As far as employees are concerned, we work with individuals who are there to solve challenging problems and finding ways to solve them.”

Encouraging Innovation at the Forefront

“It’s all about being an active leader, and understanding bottom up. We spent 2020 to actually engage all team members globally to better understand what we are doing, what they are doing, and how does this align to the overall objectives of the company.  These types of frank discussion really helped us to be a better management team and actively reduce the noise and miscommunication all around.”

Outside of technology, Resecurity is continuing to build organizational culture.

“We have teams around the globe, so our imperative has always been to build a corporate culture that is diverse with open communication channels. We built our technology based on data, and this is all part of our great team. Human capital investment is what we cherish the most.”
